1We finished the task yesterday.

____ you ____ ____ task yesterday?

2I meet a girl. The girl enjoys reading.

I meet a girl ____ ____ ____.

3We got a lot with our hard work.

We got ____with our hard work.

4Our teacher is pleased with our performance.

Our teacher ____ ____ ____ our performance.

5They work behind_the_scenes.

____ ____ they work?

1Did finish the

2who enjoys reading

3much

4is happy with

5Where do

故答案?/span>Did finish the

本題要求合并句子,根據(jù)原句句意可知,第二句話對(duì)a girl起到了修飾的作用,故將第二句話變?yōu)槎ㄕZ從句,先行詞是a girl,指人,故定語從句用who引導(dǎo);后兩個(gè)空還是enjoys reading。故答案為who enjoys reading。

根據(jù)句意和句子結(jié)構(gòu)可知,該空考查的是原句is pleased with“對(duì)……感到高興或滿意”的同義短語,可以用is happy with來替換。故答案為is happy with。

原句劃線部分behind the scenes表達(dá)的是工作的地點(diǎn),故疑問詞應(yīng)用Where;謂語動(dòng)詞do是實(shí)意動(dòng)詞的原形,主語they是復(fù)數(shù),故疑問句用助動(dòng)詞do構(gòu)成。故答案為Where do

變一般疑問句時(shí),首先看句中是否有be動(dòng)詞或情態(tài)動(dòng)詞,如果有,則直接把它們提到主語前面;如果沒有,則應(yīng)用助動(dòng)詞do, doesdid構(gòu)成一般疑問句,does用于一般現(xiàn)在時(shí),主語為第三人稱單數(shù)時(shí);did用于一般過去時(shí)態(tài)中。

Hi, dear boys and girls! Do you know how to be a healthy kid? Here are some rules you should follow.

First, eat different foods, especially fruit and vegetables. You may have a favourite food, but you’d better eat something different. If you eat different foods, you will probably get more nutrients(營養(yǎng)物質(zhì))your body needs.

Second, drink water and milk as often as possible. When you’re really thirsty, cold water is the No. 1 choice. Milk is a great drink that can give you more calcium your body needs to get strong bones.

Third, listen to your body. How do you feel when you are full? When you are eating, notice how your body feels and when your stomach feels comfortably full. Eating too much will not make you feel comfortable and make you fat.

Fourth, limit screen time. Screen time is the time you watch TV, DVDs and videos, or using computers. It’s good to take more exercise such as basketball, bike riding and swimming. You can’t watch TV for more than two hours a day. Fifth, be active. One thing you’d like to do as a kid is to find out which activity you like best. Find ways to be active every day. Follow these rules and you can be a healthy kid.

These days, the environment is a huge topic. It seems like we’re always being reminded to recycle, or to ride a bike instead of taking a taxi.

However, it isn’t just rubbish and traffic that can cause harm to the environment.

According to a recent study by the University of California, published by the journal Science Advances, fertilizer (化肥) in farm soils is a major contribution to smog in nearby cities. According to the research, agricultural soils make up of 25 to 41 percent of nitrogen oxide emissions (氮氧化物排放) in California. Nitrogen oxide, or NOx, is a major cause in smog formation.

Emissions of NOx from agricultural areas are much higher than we used to believe and could be a major source(來源) of NOx statewide,” the researchers wrote in the study.

Just like fertilized farmland, there are many other things that we wouldn’t expect to have a huge influence on the environment. Take clothes for example. Data (數(shù)據(jù)) published by the World Wildlife Foundation says that every kilogram of cotton takes around 10,000 liters of water to produce.

This means that it takes around 6,000-8,000 liters of water just to create a single pair of jeans, not to mention the carbon produced when they’re made in the factory and then transported to a store.

And even what we choose to eat could be bad for the planet.

In a 2014 study carried out by a professor in New York, US, it was found that beef farming could be causing more harm to the environment than all of the planet’s cars.

So does this mean that we should all stop buying jeans and eating beef? That would certainly help, although it’s not a practical goal.

Instead, a few simple changes could be made. For example, there’s no need to buy new jeans every year when a good pair can last much longer than that.

And when it comes to food, taking the place of the beef in our dishes with chicken or pork every now and then will still mean they taste as delicious.

Indeed, small actions could make a huge difference to our planet.

Beef:

Beef farming is surprisingly causing more harm to our environment than all of the planet’s cars

What we can do

It is 5 to stop buying jeans and eating beef, but small action could make a huge difference.
