A big earthquake happened in Japan in March, and it caused tsunami(海嘯).Thousands of people died and millions of Japanese lost their homes.
Do you know there is an earthquake every thirty seconds in the world? But don I worry because most of them arc so small that they cannot be felt. Only a few hurt people. Many earthquakes happen in China, too. Arc you ready for the next earthquake? We havesome advice for you on how to keep safe in an earthquake.
When the earthquake happens, protect yourself first. The life is the most important becausewhere there is a life, there is hope. Don’t go back to get your money or other things.
If you are at home, hide under a desk. Stay away from windows because anythingmay fall on you.
If you are outdoors, try to move away from buildings and streetlights. They may fall on you. If you are in a shop and far from the door, don’t run outside.   Everyone will run outside so that people may hurt each other. Hide under a desk. Don’t get into a lift during an earthquake.
If you are in a moving car, drive to the side of the road, stop as quickly as possible, and stay in the car. Do not try to drive across bridges. It’s dangerous.
When an earthquake has ended, be careful because aftershocks(余震) may still happen. They are just as dangerous as the earthquakes, so stay under the desk until you think it is really safe for getting out.
Make sure you wear shoes after an earthquake. There may be broken glass on the ground.

When someone has deeply hurt you, it can be very difficult to let go of your anger. But forgiveness is possible - and it can be surprisingly helpful to your physical and mental health. Indeed, research has shown that people who forgive have more energy, better appetite (胃口) and better sleep. “People who forgive show less anger and more hopefulness,” says Dr. Frederic Luskin, who wrote the book Forgive for Good. “So it can help save on the wear and tear(消耗) on our body and make people feel more energetic.”

So when someone has hurt you, calm down first. Take plenty of breathe deeply and think of something that gives you pleasure: a beautiful scene in nature, someone you love. Don’t wait for an apology(道歉). “Many times the person who hurt you may never think of apologizing,” says Dr. Luskin. “They may have wanted to hurt you or they just don’t see things the same way. So if you wait for people to apologize, you could be waiting a very long time.” Keep in mind that forgiveness does not necessarily mean accepting the action of the person who makes you angry. Mentally going over your hurt gives power to the person who brought you pain. Instead, learn to look for the love, beauty and kindness around you. Finally, try to see things from the other person’s perspective(視角). You may realize that he or she was acting out of ignorance (無知), fear, even love. To achieve the perspective, you may write a letter to yourself from that person’s point of view.
