參萬圣節(jié)是秋天一個(gè)重要的節(jié)日，每一年10月31 號美國人都慶祝它

.它不僅是教堂的節(jié)日(church holiday) 而且是孩子 們的節(jié)日

.每年秋天蔬菜成熟(ready) 可以食用的時(shí)候，孩子 們就會(huì)挑出大個(gè)兒的橙色南瓜。然后在南瓜上刻上 一張臉，把一根點(diǎn)燃的蠟燭放在里面。看起來就好 像有人在向南瓜外面張望。這些燈就叫做 “jack-o’-lanterns”，意思也就是“杰克的燈”

Halloween is an important holiday in autumn and Americans celebrate it every year. Halloween comes every October   31. However,it is not only a church holiday,but also a holiday for children.

Every autumn,when the vegetables are ready to eat,children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside,which looks as if there is someone looking out of the pumpkins!Th〇vSe lanterns are called ^jack-o'-lanterns” which means lanterns of Jack.
