根據(jù)“You can just say sorry for the bad result of your lateness.”

表示花費用cost,從you'reyou are的縮寫)中的are可知時態(tài)是一般現(xiàn)在時,主語your lateness(遲到)是不可數(shù)名詞,謂語動詞用第三人稱單數(shù)。

掙錢是make money,從you'reyou are的縮寫)中的are可知時態(tài)是一般現(xiàn)在時,主語you是第二人稱,謂語動詞用原形。故填make。

Housework is an endless argument between lazy husbands and their hard-working wives, but women are warned not to expect men to share housework any time soon.

A study from Oxford University has found it seems impossible for men to be doing an equal share of housework before 2050. Mothers will continue to shoulder the burden(負擔) of childcare and housework for the next forty years, largely because housework such as cleaning and cooking is still thought of to be “women’s work”.

The gap(鴻溝) has narrowed slowly over the past 40 years. Women expect true equality(平等). But what makes them down is that it will take another forty years before it is achieved.

The research found that in the northern Europe, the burden of housework is shared more equally between men and women. In the UK, a woman spends around four hours and forty minutes each day on housework, compared with two hours and twenty-eight minutes for men. This is an improvement from the 1960s, when British women typically(典型地) spent six hours a day on housework, while men spent just 90 minutes every day.

But progress towards housework equality appears to be slowing in some countries. Dr Oriel Sullivan,a research reader, said, “we’ve looked at what is influencing the equality in the home, and we have found that certain tasks seem to be given according to whether they are viewed as ‘men’s work’ or ‘women’s work’.”

Dr Sullivan said cultural attitudes(態(tài)度) taught at school may decide the views of housework. “At school it is much easier for a girl to be a tomboy, but it is much more difficult for a boy to enjoy cooking and dancing,” she said.

【題目】 “About half the students in regular Beijing schools have been bullied(欺負),” a report said. I’m not surprised at all.

I have to say that in my school years I was always bullied. My earliest memory was from third grade, when two older boys held a knife to my throat(喉嚨) after school. I stood very still(不動)and they soon left me alone.

In sixth grade, I was walking alone in my neighbourhood when another boy ran toward me. As I turned to greet him, he hit me in the face and gave me a bloody nose. I never understood why.

In seventh grade I learned to give the bullies(恃強凌弱的人) my lunch money before they asked me for it. I never told anyone because I was afraid they would beat me harder.

Then came high school, where a bully named Shuey decided he didn’t like me. He spoke ill of me and laughed at me for months. He even challenged me to meet him after school, but I refused. So he called me a “cowardly boy” in front of my classmates. One day I had enough. When Shuey blocked(堵住) my way into class, I exploded(發(fā)怒) and knocked him down. He got up and we had a fight. At last I won and Shuey couldn’t lay a hand on me any more.

News of the fight got around the school soon. Nobody bullied me again. It was not good to fight, but something big changed in my life: I was not afraid any longer.
