Healthy eating doesn’t mean what you eat, but how you eat. Here is some advice on healthy eating.

Eat with others. It can help you to see others’ eating habits(習慣). If you usually eat with your parents, you will find that the food you eat is more delicious.

Listen to your body. Ask yourself if you are really hungry. Have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty-sometimes you are just thirty, you need no food. Stop eating before you feel full.

Eat breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After you don’t eat for the past ten hours, your body needs food to get you going. You will be smarter after eating breakfast.

Eat healthy snacks(零食)like fruits, yogurt(酸奶)or cheese. We all need snacks sometimes. In fact, it’s a good idea to eat two healthy snacks between your three meals. This doesn’t mean that you can eat a bag of chips instead of a meal.

Don’t eat dinner late. With our busy life, we always put off eating dinner until the last minute. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body a chance to digest most of the food before you rest for the next 8-10 hours.

閱讀下面的短文,并根據(jù)短文內容回答所提問題。

Most teens need more than 9 hours of sleep each night. But about 1 in 4 teens has trouble in sleeping. Lack(缺少)of sleep can affect everything from our feelings to how well we focus on tasks like studying. It can also influence sports performance, increase our chances of getting sick, and may be related to weight gain in some people.

How can we get the sleep we need? Here are some ideas:

Be active during the day. Get at least 60 minutes of exercise a day. Physical activity can decrease(減少) stress and help people feel more relaxed. Just don't work too close to bedtime because exercise can wake you up before it slows you down.

Say goodnight to electronics. Experts suggest using the bedroom for sleep only. At least shut everything down an hour or more before lights out.

Keep a sleep routine(常規(guī)). Going to bed at the same time every night helps the body expect sleep. Creating a set bedtime routine can improve this relaxation effect. Spending time with a pet, writing a diary or doing anything else can relax you.

Expect a good night's sleep. Instead of worrying that you won't sleep, remind(提醒)yourself that you can. Say "Tonight, I will sleep well" several times during the day. It can also help to practice breathing exercises or gentle exercises before bed.

Everyone has a sleepless night once in a while. But if you regularly have trouble in sleeping and you think it's affecting your mood or performance, talk to your doctor.

1.How many hours of sleep do most teens need each night?

2.Can physical activity increase stress or decrease stress?

3.If Tom often has trouble sleeping and it affects like performance, what should he do?

4.Does making the light on help to have a good sleep?

5.Write down at least one of your suggestions about getting the sleep we need.

科目:初中英語 來源:2016年初中畢業(yè)升學考試(江蘇常州卷)英語(解析版) 題型:閱讀理解

閱讀下列短文,從短文后各題所給的A、B、C、D四個選項中,選出最佳選項。

Every living thing on Earth is either a plant or an animal, right? Wrong! Many organisms(有機體)in our world are neither. Some of them float through the air, and some lie hidden in the ground. They do not need sunlight to survive, and if the weather becomes too cold, they can become inactive until conditions improve.

What are these? They are called fungi(菌類), and you see them almost every day. Many kinds of fungi seem disgusting, such as the green black things that appear on the food which are left too long in the refrigerator. But other kinds are not so bad. For example, the yeast that is used to make bread and mushrooms (蘑菇) are both fungi.

What makes fungi different from plants and animals? An animal can move around by itself. Fungi get around too, but they don't have feet, wings, or tails. They have to wait for wind or some other outside force to move them. Plants are different from fungi because they have chlorophyll(葉綠素). It helps them make food from the energy in sunlight. Fungi do not have chlorophyll.

Some fungi are bad, while others are not. Some fungi cause diseases, such as athlete’s foot, which makes feet uncomfortable. Other kinds of fungi can be used to make medicines, which have saved many lives.

Fungi clean up more than wounds, though. They are the world’s first recyclers. Without fungi, our world would be a mess. Since fungi cannot make their own food as plants do, they must get their food elsewhere. Many fungi get their food from dead plants. They break them down and turn them into soil. The fungi get a meal, and the world gets a housecleaning.

1.What does the underlined word “disgusting”most probably mean?

A. strong B. unpleasant C. active D. small

2.According to the passage, ______.

A. fungi can move everywhere by themselves

B. fungi are unable to survive in cold conditions

C. some fungi can make food from the energy in sunlight.

D. some fungi are useful to humans and the environment

3.Where can you most probably find this passage?

A. In a social report. B. In a biology book.

C. In a geography magazine. D. In a farming book.
