The trouble started when Mrs Candy lost control of her car on a mountain road. Her car fell off the mountain into the water forty feet from the road. It rolled over twice and landed left side up in the rushing water. Mrs Candy and her two sons, were wearing their seatbelts and thick coats. So they were stuck (不能動). He went under the water by the car.

Mrs Candy saw him and pulled him as hard as she could and brought him to the car door. Then the other rescue workers arrived. They put on special suits to stay warm. They brought safety ropes, life jackets and warm blankets. First they pulled the people out of the back window onto the top of the car. Then they swam with each person to shore. They saved Simon, Mrs Candy, and the little boys.
