【題目】閱讀短文,從下面每題的A、B、C、D四個(gè)選項(xiàng)中選出最佳選項(xiàng)。

According to a 2018 study from San Francisco State University, nearly 2. 4 billon people around the world used a smartphone in 2017. By the end of 2018, more than a third of the global population will be using a smartphone.

However, smartphone technology can be a double-edged sword (雙刃劍). On the one hand, it sends us lots of information. On the other hand, using a smartphone may become an addiction ().

Erik Peper and Richard Harvey are both health education professors at San Francisco State University. They led the study. Peper explains that smartphone addiction forms connections in the brain that are similar to drug addiction (毒癮). And these connections form slowly over time. Also, addiction to social media may affect (影響) our emotional state (情緒). The two professors asked 135 university students about their habit of smartphone use and their feelings. They found that students who used their phones were feeling lonelier and more nervous.

Peper and Harvey don't blame (責(zé)怪) users for their technology addiction. The researchers warn that workers in the technology industry know how to control our brains and turn us into addicts.

But the researchers say that we can train our brains to be less addicted to our phones and computers. Erik Peper suggests turning off our phones before we sleep or do something important. The researchers also suggest taking control of when and where you answer texts or emails. You don't need to answer them all. And you certainly don't need to answer them as soon as you get them. They also suggest setting limits (設(shè)限) on the time you spend.

1What can we infer from Paragraph ?

A.Smartphone use has become very common.

B.Most young people can't live without smartphones.

C.Smartphones make our life more colorful and convenient.

D.Most people think smartphones are the greatest invention.

2The underlined sentence in Paragraph 2 means smartphone technology ________.

A.has a bright futureB.can be better than most people think

C.has both advantages and disadvantagesD.can give us lots of information

3What did Erik Peper and Richard Harvey find about smartphone use?

A.It can beat loneliness.B.It's more popular with students.

C.It's preferred by young people feeling lonely.D.It can harm students' emotional state in many ways.

4What does the last paragraph mainly want to tell us?

A.Social media isn't that important to us.B.We can train our brains to do many things.

C.We shouldn't become addicted to our smartphones.D.There are ways to deal with smartphone use addiction.

【題目】 “Every worker coming to Beijing has their own reasons. No one lives here without a dream,” said Chen Jianguo, a 35-year-old food deliveryman(送餐員) from a small city called Songyuan.

Chen Jianguo dreamed of having his own business in Beijing about 16 years ago when he graduated from senior high school. but his father asked him to take his place as a truck driver at the oil field. Although Chen disliked the job, he didn’t want to let his father down. He took the job as a truck driver. Then he got married and had a son.

"I got quite good pay, but life was boring there during those years. Most of the time I had nothing to do, because the trucks were not often used," said Chen.

Two months ago, Chen decided to give up his job and come to Beijing. His wife agreed that he should go for his dream.

Chen has been a food deliveryman for a month. He works 15 hours every day and hardly has time for lunch at noon. Chen spends only 10 yuan on each meal to cut the cost of living in Beijing. "I want to give a better life to my wife and little son." he said. "I must work harder and try to become the best food deliveryman at my station." Chen likes his job because he can meet many different people. Every "thank you" from a customer is like praise for his work.

Chen plans to start his own restaurant in the future, so he always writes down what food people have ordered. In this way, he gets a better knowledge of people's tastes.

【題目】 Dear Mrs. Brown,

I’ve known that you are wondering how to deal with your child's behavior problems. The following are my opinions.

If there are lots of behaviors you want to change, start by focusing on one or two of the most terrible ones at first. Don't try to make too many changes at once.

Let your child make some decisions by giving him acceptable choices. For example, ask,"Do you want some bread or eggs for breakfast? or let him choose between the red and blue clothes.

Have some stated rules and explain the reasons behind them. Let your child understand the results of breaking the rules.

Direct your child and help him find a better place to do what he is trying to do. For example, if he wants to write on the wall with pencils, give him a piece of paper and let him write on it or let him write on the sidewalk with chalks.

Notice your child’s good behavior and tell him you have noticed it rather than praise him. For example, describe what you see," Wow, this room is so clean and everything is in order. rather than praise him like" You' re a good boy Good job

Being a mother is not easy. Remember to treat your child with great patience and love and then you' ll find that you child will become better

Best wishes for you and your family.

D.She should try to let her child make some decisions on his own

3What should a mother do if her child wants to write on the wall?

A.She should let him go out to play with other children
