Milton and his mother decided to spend a Saturday afternoon in the park．So they packed a picnic 1 and put it in the back of their car and drove off．They came to the park in no time and spread a blanket over the grass under a tall 2 tree．Milton’s mom loved picnics and she packed a great meal．There were turkey sandwiehes,salad, 3 and oranges, fried chicken ,and even corn on the cob(玉米棒子)．Milton was very hungry and very excited about all the wonderful food．He started with a turkey sandwich but moved quickly to the fried chicken and salad．
Milton's mom was 4 too,but she started out with the corn on the cob．She loved corn and eating it off the cob reminded her of picnics when she was a littlegirl．But as Milton and his mom 5 their picnic,an unexpected visitor came towards them．Milton saw the bear first,but he didn't believe his eyes．He put down his sandwich,and then looked up again．The bear was still there．
“Mom,look out ,”he shouted“There’s a 6 headed right for us．”
Milton’s mom looked over and screamed．Without wasting another second, both Milton and
his mom jumped up and 7 straight for the car．Then they hurried inside and locked the doors．
All of the commotion(喧鬧)didn’t seem to bother the bear．He sat down on the blanket and
helped himself to a piece of 8 chicken．
