14．Abraham Lincoln（林肯）（1809-1865）
Many people think that Abraham Lincoln is one of the greatest presidents in the history of the USA．He passed laws against slavery（奴隸制）and kept the United States united．
Lincoln's Childhood
Lincoln was born into a poor family in 1809．His father was a carpenter（木匠）and a farmer．（61）C He was so interested in reading and studying that he always asked to borrow books from his neighbors．
