       Lydia Blake and her husband Clive own The Full Moon restaurant. Lydia is bright and extremely stubborn,
and she's very worried about the restaurant. She wants to borrow some money from the bank-if she can't,
The Full Moon might have to close.

      Clive Black is the chef (廚師) at the Full Moon-but being married to Lydia isn't easy. He thinks she's
impatient and inconsiderate and would like to ask her for a divorce (離婚). But if he does, what will happen
to the restaurant he loves?

      Darren is the oldest of Lydia and Clive's three children (their other son, Nick, left the programme a year
ago. Darren works as a waiter in his parents' restaurant when he's not stealing cars or staying out all night.
The most dishonest and unreliable(不可靠的) member of the family, he's the one we love to hate.

      Kathy is Darren's lovely wife and mother of three-month-old Elizabeth. Kathy is quiet, easy-going and
unselfish, but does she have a secret past?

      Eve King is the owner of The Angel restaurant, which opened in the same street as The Full Moon last
month. Eve is attractive, ambitious and single.

A seabird named Lydia recently made a 26-day nonstop（不間斷的）journey of about 2,500 miles，just to search for food for her baby．She is fitted with a satellite tracking device（衛(wèi)星跟蹤儀）．Her trip started on Oct．18 from Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean．The trip is known as the longest nonstop journey by one of these endangered seabirds．

Before that，this kind of birds was known only to fly a few hundred miles from where they live，staying away for just a few days at a time．They usually fly over the sea．

The Scientists feel it strange that Lydia made such a long，nonstop Journey and flew overland．So the above facts raise some serious questions about efforts to stop the decline（減少）of the birds．The number of the birds，has fallen by lo percent over the past 20 years．

Besides，the scientists are surprised that she was away from her baby for such a long time．They wonder why she needed to go that far．Maybe it shows that fish resources（資源）around Christmas Island are not large enough now．That might explain the slow decline of the bird--sea pollution is serious．
