A solar—powered boat ride costs one dollar per stop for each passenger，while a petrol—powered boat ride costs at least five dollars.

The solar-powered boat，which can carry 18 people at a time，is changing life in the jungle. More children go to school because the fare is more affordable. Besides，when someone is ill，his family or friends can call the boat on the radio：the boat will come immediately and take the patient to a health center quickly. More inter-village sporting events. are held，too，because of the use of the solar-powered boat.
