Hawaii has always been a magic name to people who like traveling. People from all over the world dream of seeing the beautiful islands in the middle of the ocean. It’s always one of their dreams to watch the sun going down. The sun drops like a ball of bright fire into the sea, and it drops so quickly that you can even see it move.

We spent this holiday with our uncle. He loved to go on walks to collect stones. One day, he bought us backpacks(背包)and asked us to go to the mountain with him, and carry the stones.
The whole day we walked around. Every now and then he put stones in our bags. To our surprise, he also took some stones out from our bags. But we thought he had just found better stones.
When we returned to the house, we were very tired. The backpacks were so heavy that we felt relaxed when we put them down. Yet our uncle's backpack was half empty.
“Why did you put so many stones into our backpacks?” we asked.
“I didn't. You did,” he said. “You didn't know it, but I gave you a test today. I listened to every word you said. Whenever you were complaining(抱怨), I added a stone to your bags. Whenever you talked about something with positive(積極的) thinking, I took out a stone. And now look at your backpacks.” Our backpacks were full of stones.
“Your negative(消極的) thoughts are like stones. You carry them in your mind(頭腦) just like those stones in a backpack. The more negative thoughts, the heavier your mind.”

Wechat is popular among us, but if someone deletes you or blocks(屏蔽)you on it,does it mean you’ve made him or her angry?
It depends.
Maybe you have just left messages too often without much valuable information. For example, the questions are those like ‘how are u? ’ ‘what are u doing? ’ ‘do u love me? ’ too often. You know, people may feel bored after answering such kinds of questions time after time.
Another possible reason may be that you’ve sent something unpleasant to your friend or in your friend circle. I just blocked one of my middle school classmates yesterday because she was trying to sell fake goods in the friend circle, and I hale it quite much.
Some people delete the one's name from friends’ list because they no longer want to see it (maybe ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend) and they don’t want the one to see their“ Moments” (動(dòng)態(tài)) on WeChat (maybe they publish very private pictures or life or thoughts they don’t want to share with him or her.)
So why you are blocked may depend on his or her mood or preference (喜好), and the reasons a person gets blocked are various from person to person. So I suggest you to write an email or make a phone call to that person if he or she really means a lot to you to see why he or she is dissatisfied with you ,and to find out how you can make up for the case.
1.From paragraph 3, we can know if you are blocked that is because ______.
A. you are asking too many boring questions
B. your friend is angry
C. your friend doesn’t like answering questions
D. your friend has no time to reply
2.In paragraph 5 ,the underlined word "it" refers to ______.
A. the goods B. the name C. the private life D. the friend circle
3._______causes of being deleted or blocked are mentioned in the passage.
A. 4 B. 2 C. 3 D. 5
4.Which is the best title for the passage?
A. Friend Circle B. Why Are You Blocked?
C. A Popular Way of Communication D. How to Make Your Friend Satisfied

The first time I ever really noticed a disabled person, I was studying in the third grade. I saw some disabled people before, but I never really knew or cared about what those persons go through(經(jīng)歷).
When a new student arrived in my third grade class, I thought it would just be a common student, but this student was different. His name was Derek and he had autism(孤獨(dú)癥). He sometimes had random outbursts(隨意的發(fā)作) during class and we would stand there, doing nothing because we didn't know why he was doing that. When he sat down at desk, we would try to get away from him. After class, we would play jokes on each other, imitating(模仿) Derek, and laughing about it.
Then one day, Derek's mum came to our class and talked with us. She told us that Derek wasn't just having random outbursts—he was trying to communicate. Then she chose a volunteer and filled that person's mouth with soft sweets. When we found the volunteer had great trouble in trying to speak, the mother explained that was what Derek was going through every day. We all understood her meaning.
After this talk, no one tried to make fun of Derek or run away from him. We accepted his outbursts in class and he became one of our friends. Having a class with Derek has taught me to have an open mind to those who are different from us. My experience in having an autistic classmate has provided me with a good lesson.
Now whenever I meet a family with a child who's behaving differently, I always remember what I have learned in my third grade class and go up to him or her.
1.What did the author think of the boy before the mother's talk?
A. Friendly. B. Humorous.
C. Generous. D. Strange.
2.Which order is right according to the passage?
①We got away from him.
②We got on well with Derek.
③Derek arrived in my class.
④Derek's mum talked to us.
A. ③①②④ B. ③①④② C. ①③②④ D. ①④③②
3.After Derek's mum's talk, we did the following EXCEPT that ________.
A. we became friends
B. we played together
C. we played jokes on him
D. we communicated with him
4.Which is the best title for the passage?
A. Living with an open mind
B. Believing in yourself
C. Behaving in different ways
D. Making friends with the disabled
