Working as a vet (獸醫(yī)), I met a family who taught me an unforgettable lesson. They came to my clinic with their dying dog Coco. I examined Coco and found he was old and had a serious illness. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Coco, and euthanasia (安樂死) would be best for the dog.

Ancient China produced many types of beautiful works of art. Among them, calligraphy (書法), poetry (詩歌) and painting were the most famous. Often they would be put together in art. These became important starting with the Song Dynasty.
