●What subjects were included in your online lessons?

●How much time did you spend every day online?

●Did your teachers help a lot when you studied at home?

●What should I pay attention to when I'm taking online lessons?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best wishes,

David

【題目】 Darryl thought his friend Julia had such a cool mother. She would drive Julia and Darryl anywhere they wanted to go: movie theaters, swimming pools, ice cream shops. Darryl's own mother worked in a laboratory all day, doing research. Even on weekends, she read some science books. Daryl loved the way his mom could explain mysterious things about the world and always had interesting stories to share. But sometimes he wished he had a mom who was a little more…well, fun.

One Saturday, Julia and her mom picked up Darryl at his house. They were all going to a big amusement park, Darryl said goodbye to his mom, who was reading.

"Isn't your science project due (預(yù)期的) Monday?" she asked him.

"It's almost done," Darryl said, walking out of the door.

At the amusement park, Julia's mom treated them to popcorn and hamburgers. They all challenged each other to go on the fastest, most exciting rides in the park. They laughed and screamed all day long.

Darryl woke up with a bad headache Sunday morning. He was unhappy at the thought of finishing his science project. He heard his mother making breakfast, the same breakfast she made every Sunday: a vegetable omelet (煎蛋餅) and fresh fruit. Usually Darryl wanted a doughnut for breakfast, but the thought of more junk food made him sick. His mother's healthy cooking was just what he needed after such a loud and busy day.

After he ate, his mother helped him finish his science project. When Julia called later, asking Darryl if he wanted to come by, he said no. Maybe next weekend he would be ready for more fun, but not now.

1What did Darryl and Julia eat at the amusement park?

2What's Darryl's mother like?

【題目】 A group of 30 young people in a software company was a team who were willing to learn. The team leader decided to teach them about finding real solutions (解決辦法) to the problems.

The team was called to play a game in a hall. They were quite surprised. As they entered the hall, they found the hall decorated with colourful papers and balloons all over the place. It was more like a kid's play area, than a meeting hall. Also, there was a huge box of balloons placed in the hall.

The team leader asked everyone to pick a balloon from the box and asked them to blow it. Every one happily picked a balloon and blew it.

Then the team leader asked them to write their names on their balloon carefully so that the balloons didn't blow up. All tried to write their names on the balloons, but not everyone was successful. Those who failed to mark their names even after the second chance were ruled out of the game. After the second chance, 25 were left to move on to the next level. All the balloons were collected and then put into a room.

The team leader announced the members to go to the room and pick the same balloon that had his name on it. Also, he told them that no balloon should blow up and warned them to be very careful!

All 25 members reached the room, where the balloons carrying their names were thrown here and there. They were searching for the balloons carrying their names. While they were in a rush to find the balloons, they tried not to burst them. It was almost 15 minutes and no one was able to find the balloon carrying his own name.

The team was told that the second level of the game was over.
