It was a sunny day today and I went to Xishan Park for a spring outing. The moment I entered in the park, a variety of beautiful flowers and green trees come into sight. Attracted by the beauty, I couldn’t stop taking photo. As I wandered along the path, enjoy the beautiful view, I noticed something unpleasantly. Two schoolgirls jumped the fence to pick flowers. Obviously they didn’t realize that their behavior had done great damage on the beauty of the park. Without hesitation, I went up and stopped them politely. Quite embarrassing, the two girls came out immediately. Then we took pictures outside the fence. Seeing that, I smiled and something looked nicer in my eyes.
【1】. ... entered in the park ... 去掉in
【2】. ... trees come into sight. come → came
【3】... stop taking photo. photo → photos
【4】... enjoy the beautiful view ... enjoy → enjoying
【5】... something unpleasantly. unpleasantly → unpleasant
【6】... jumped the fence ... jumped后加over
【7】... done great damage on ... on → to

【10】... something looked nicer ... something → everything
【1】. ... entered in the park ... 去掉in enter本身含有“in/into”的意思,故去掉in。
【2】. ... trees come into sight. come → came 根據上下文的聯系可知句子應該用一般過去時態(tài),故把come → came。
【4】... enjoy the beautiful view ... enjoy → enjoying
【6】... jumped the fence ... jumped后加over 句意:跳過圍墻。
【7】... done great damage on ... on → to 固定詞組do danage to sb./do sb/ danage,故把on → to 。
【8】Quite embarrassing ... embarrassing → embarrassed
【9】Then we took pictures ... we → they 故把we → they。
enter不能和in/into;repeat和again;return和back;because和so;though/although/while/in spite of/despite(盡管)和but。

Lights Out at Bedtime
There are plenty of good reasons to power up a personal desktop or laptop computer in the evening — writing e-mails, chatting on social networks or making purchases over the Internet, for instance. But various studies indicate that people who stare at a PC’s bright monitor shortly before going to bed probably sleep less soundly than they would otherwise because the light seriously affects their natural wake-sleep cycle."They haven't proved it though," says Dieter Kunz, the team's director at Charite's Psychiatric Clinic in St.Hedwig's Hospital in Berlin.
Similarly, exposure to just 10 minutes of normal bathroom lighting is enough to free the sleep hormone melatonin, which regulates people's natural wake-sleep cycle and makes them sleepy at nightfall.
Ten years ago, a team of British and American researchers detected a photo-pigment(光敏色素) in the human eye that signals to the body whether it is day or night, summer or winter. The photo-pigment is especially sensitive to blue light.
"The blue light more or less tells the body, ‘It's daytime, be awake,’" Kunz says. Monitors have a mostly cold white light content and scientists suspect the photo-pigment may react similarly to it. So the longer people look into the bright light, the more awake they become — and then sleep poorly.
A lot of people have difficulty "switching off" in the evening. About half of the women in Germany and a quarter of the men sleep poorly.
Environmental factors are only one of the possible causes. Job stress as well as personal and health concerns are also the main reasons for their sleep problems.
In addition, electronic objects' standby lights and indicator lamps can be annoying in the dark and affect sleep."Sound scientific evidence is still lacking on this matter," Kunz notes.
According to Kunz, those who cannot go without their computer in the evening should turn down the blue content if possible and lower the brightness somewhat."But nobody does that because, after all, you want to concentrate while working at the computer and the light helps the brain."

A.natural wake-up cycles
B.the effect of light on sleep

【2】The underlined word “which” in Paragraph 2 refers to ________.

A.the blue light has a calming effect

There are many older people in the world and there will be many more. A littleknown fact is that over 60 percent of the older people live in developing countries. According to the World Health Organization,by 2020 there will be 1 billion, with over 700 million living in developing countries.
It is a surprising fact that the population ageing is particularly rapid in developing countries. For example,it took France 115 years for the proportion of older people to double from 7 percent to 14 percent. It is estimated(估計) to take China a mere 27 years to achieve this same increase.
What are the implications(暗指) of these increased numbers of older folk? One of the biggest worries for governments is that the longer people live, the more likelihood there is for diseases and for disability. Attention is being paid to the need to keep people as healthy as possible, including during old age,to lessen the financial burden on the state.
Another significant problem is the need for the younger generations to understand and value the older people in their society. In some African countries, certainly in Asia, older people are respected and regarded as the ones with special knowledge. Yet traditions are fading away daily, which does not ensure the continued high regard of older people. As society changes, attitudes will change.
Much needs to be done to get rid of age discrimination (歧視) in employment. Lifelong learning programs need to be provided to enable older people to be active members in a country’s development.
Social security policies need t be established to provide adequate income protection for older people. Both public and private schemes are vital in order to build a suitable safety net.
To achieve equality in such matters will take considerable time and effort. One thing is sure:there is no time to be lost.
【1】The proportion(比例)of older people________.
A. is bigger in developed countries than in developing countries
B. is one seventh of the population in developing countries
C. will increase much faster in China than in France
D. will be sixty percent in developing countries by 2020
【2】According to the passage, which of the following are governments most worried about?
A. The diseases and disability of older people.
B. The longer life and good health of people.
C. The loss of taxes on older people.
D. The increasing respect for older people.
【3】Which of the following measures is NOT mentioned to solve the population ageing problem?
A. Getting rid of age discrimination in employment.
B. Ensuring adequate income protection for older people.
C. Providing free health care for sick older people.
D. Supplying lifelong learning programs to older people.
【4】The author concludes in the last paragraph that________.
A. governments have spent lots of time in solving the ageing problem
B. population ageing is a hard problem, but it needs to be solved urgently
C. people are too busy to solve the population ageing problem
D. much time and effort will be lost in solving the ageing problem
