About one year before, we got a lovely cat named Tom. He enjoys watch my elderly neighbor in her garden. Although he won't let her to touch him, he always keeps an eye on her.

One afternoon I heard Tom calling strange. When I reached the door to check on him, his calling stops, so I headed back to the kitchen. Just as I did, her calling started again. I stepped outside to find Tom sitting next to my elderly neighbors who had fallen. She didn't have strength to get up and shout for help. Tom didn't leave her side until help arrived. My parents run the restaurant in our city. I help out there after school every time when I am free. Yesterday afternoon I went there help out as usual. While I was there, two foreigners from Australia came to have a meal. Learned that they didn’t speak Chinese at all，I went up and greeted them with English. I recommended some typical dish to them and they had a nicely meal. After the meal, they expressed their satisfaction with the food but praised me for my English. It was the first time that I have communicated with foreigners. My parents felt proud of mine.

Teenagers often have problems with English. Yesterday we hold a discussion about what to learn English well. We came up with some suggestion. For example, some of us thought it was important to take the active part in classroom activities, because we could learn a lot of during the activities. Some agreed watching American films could a good way to improve listening and speaking skills. Others suggested read English novels to practice English.

As for me, I prefer listening careful to teachers in class. What’s more, writing to your pen pal in America helps me much with my English. I hope all of us can found our own ways to learn English well.

Last Saturday I went to the library as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happened. I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many peoples were standing by without doing anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd as I took off my coat, but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid was saved.

I am proud what I did. I hope everyone can give a hand when someone else is in need.
