Great changes have been taken place in my village. Ten years ago, the small and low houses, which lie on the north of a lake, produced much waste. As the result, the lake was serious polluted. To the west was a sandy field, that was the source of dust. Better still, a brickyard on the southwest side of the lake used up a great deal good soil. Now the poor house have been replaced by green trees and the brickyard by tall buildings. The sandy field that the villagers used to ploughing has been covered with fruit trees. On the lake the villagers often spend his spare time boating and fishing.

【1】去been

【2】lie-lay

【3】the-a

【4】serious-seriously

【5】that-which

【6】Better-Worse

【7】a great 加of

【8】house-houses

【9】ploughing-plough

【10】his-their

Take place 發(fā)生是不及物動(dòng)詞短語,沒有被動(dòng)形式,故去掉been。

固定短語:as a result因此,結(jié)果,把the改為a。

That不能引導(dǎo)非限制性定語從句,此處指代a sandy field,把that改為which。

Worse still更糟糕的是,相當(dāng)于whats worse,或 to make matters worse。

修飾名詞用a great deal of ,而a great deal 用來修飾比較級(jí)。

【8】house-houses . 根據(jù)后面句意和謂語動(dòng)詞have been可以判斷主語是復(fù)數(shù)名詞,把house改為houses。

代替名詞villagers用復(fù)數(shù)代詞,故把his改為their。

【題目】“Chances are we have all experienced shyness in our lives, and shyness has been associated with negative outcomes—characteristics like difficulty maintaining eye contact, and feelings of humiliation(丟臉) are known to be part of a shy person’s characters. It’s these traits that tend to affect some shy individuals’ ability to connect,” says C. Barr Taylor, a professor of psychology at Stanford University.

“But while shyness can often be seen as a bad thing, there are ways to use the personality trait to your advantage,” Taylor says. Below are some common shy habits and how you can learn to make them benefit you:

Shy people usually reflect inwardly (在內(nèi)心) a lot. But according to Taylor, all that thinking may not always be a bad thing and it should be viewed as a way you can think actively as you go into a situation. So, for shy people who feel worried about facing a particular challenge or event, Taylor advises slowly approaching the fearful situation if you start to feel anxious. By facing what you are not feeling secure about, Taylor says, you will feel less anxious. “Our brains are amazing—they can become well adapted,” he says. “If you put yourself in a fearful situation, you will get a sense that you are going to do it.” What’s more, shy individuals care deeply about what others think of them, and if it is addressed healthily, they can use it to their advantage to form social connections.

Shy people are observant and often pick up on parts of their conversation or surroundings that others may not. “Just because you are shy, that does not mean you are not used to social situations,” Taylor says. “It can actually become a source of strength as you are the observer in the room.” In a study out of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, researchers found an association between college-age adults who were shy and the ability to better identify expressions of sadness and fear compared with those who weren’t shy. In addition, a shy person has a born drive to absorb a conversation, so they can be great at conversation.

【1】In the opinion of C. Barr Taylor, we should .

A.think positively of shyness

B.try to get rid of shyness

D.often help those shy people

It is fine day today and I will never forget this special day. I was chosen to be a member of the football team and send to take part in the school football match. I was excited, but believed I would score most. But in the first round I hurt my leg and couldn’t but to give up. I felt very sad. My best friend Tom comes up to me and said, “You are great! You still played for a few minute even after your leg hurt. You are a true winner.” I couldn’t believe my ears. For me the one scoring the most is the winner.
