Lady Bird Johnson was born Claudia Alta Taylor in nineteen twelve. The Taylor family lived in the small town of Karnack, Texas. What makes people successful? Take a look around and talk to your friends and seniors who are very successful, you will see all of them have adopted certain values which have proved vital for their success.
It is evident that successful people take initiative (主動性). When they find something needs to be done, they never hesitate to do it. They believe that responsibility is taken, not given. They weigh immediately what has to be done and then do it with pleasure thus strengthening their reputation.
Successful people do things with great enthusiasm, especially when they believe in what they are doing. They are motivated by their own satisfaction and the joy they get from doing their work. They work hard even when no one is watching and they devote themselves to their work.
They do not fear failure. Failures and disappointments in life are unavoidable. It is failure that teaches us much more than success. Successful people pick themselves up after a fall and try again with more determination and commitment and learn from each failure. They associate with those they can learn from and enjoy the company of those appreciating their achievement.
Having good IQ often gets a person what he wants but it's really the EQ that keeps him there and helps him enjoy a high reputation. Successful people are polite to everyone and treat others with respect. By giving respect to others, they command respect for themselves.
Another important quality of successful persons is that they never complain. It's better to praise others and win favor with them. So instead of complaining about a situation, successful people always try to solve it.
To put it shortly, take initiative and be enthusiastic about them. Do not be afraid to fail, but get up and start again. When you do so, success will be just around the corner.

For one tired out from work, autumn is one of the best times to step into the open air to kick back and enjoy some great music. And that’s what many Beijingers have done this past weekend.
Family, friends, laughter; beautiful grass, fresh air and live music echoing (回響) off the forest and the Great Wall that surround this place. A weekend in this music paradise(樂園) just seems too short. Besides, a brand new world-class outdoor theater has just been open at this year’s festival, which will surely make the festival a better and more permanent experience.
A full house is before the new outdoor amphitheater (圓形劇場). Even the thunderstorm couldn’t break up the crowd completely absorbed in the music. Thanks to the new theater, this year’s Great Wall Forest Festival offers even more superb acoustics(音效的)and an overall outdoor theatrical experience, even though the project is still half complete.
The festival is now in its fourth year. Since its first show in 2010, the festival has seen a steady increase in festival-goers and has expanded its length from two days to four days, divided over two weekends. It has also been experimenting with a variety of styles, from classical to pop, with this year’s theme “Celebrating 20 Years of Chinese Folk Song.” Folk Song legend Lao Lang explains how folk songs have helped encourage more amateur folks to express themselves through music.
“Before music was reserved for the professionals. But folk songs made young people realize that they can express themselves through music as well. And that’s what characterizes folk songs. It’s popular music and it always has a story.” said Lao Lang.
Unlike some of the other outdoor festivals, the Great Wall Forest Festival appeals to a wide range of audiences. It’s a rare place where teens, parents and families can all enjoy the outdoors and have a great time.
Great music and scenery aside, many children’s workshops, master music classes, and interactive art activities have also been introduced this year. If music is the reason to come to the festivals, you’ll find even more reasons not to leave.

Last Sunday I was thinking about the difference between successful people and those who don’t achieve anything significant. I made an interesting discovery. This difference may at first look obvious, but it’s quite opposite. 1.
Everyone has a purpose behind their actions. If they don’t, they wouldn’t take action! 2. When they take action, at the back of their minds they think about success that this action is going to bring them.
3. What’s the purpose behind your actions? Do you work to thrive(成功)or to survive?
Do you go to work to feed your family or to create an amazing lifestyle?
Different purposes will result in completely different life experiences. People who work to survive are the ones who fear that some unexpected bill will arrive. They go to bed worrying about money and unimportant things. They hate their employment but don’t quit because they doubt their own abilities to create something greater. I know this kind of feeling because I was like that once. That’s a very uncomfortable state to be in because you are constantly worried about insignificant things. 4. Therefore, you cannot achieve anything great.
Now there are some people who don’t accept the “ Life is hard ” story and they are fuelled by an entirely different purpose. They work to thrive. 5.They have a beautiful vision and they take constant action to make that vision a reality.
A. And they don’t think about why something cannot be done.
B. Such attitude invites great opportunities to you.
C. It lies in what motivates people to take action.
D. So let me ask you a few questions.
E. And this makes you take even more or better quality actions.
F. This state does not allow you to be creative.
G. But successful people have a completely different purpose behind the actions they take.
