UNICEF reports that 40 million children below the age of 15 suffer from abuse(虐待) and neglect. The USA National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse finds 3 million new reports of child abuse or neglect every year.

       According to such information on human rights abuses of children, the United Nations declared 2010 as the International Year of Youth. In answer to the common human rights abuses of young people, Dr. Mary Shuttleworth of Youth for Human Rights International(YHRI) recently completed her seventh annual World Tour to five continents in eighty days. The tour reached Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Ecuador, Brazil, South Africa, Swaziland, Portugal, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, Greece, Taiwan, Japan, Hawaii and Los Angeles.

       The YHRI World Tour 2010 has reached tens of thousands of students as well as officials, educators, and religious leaders and thus promotes human rights education to millions more.

Every autumn, as families across the United States get ready to send their kids to college, the economics of higher education receive renewed attention. College is expensive and becoming more so in the U. S. The situation raises two questions: Why does it cost so much, and how can students and their families afford it?

Several studies published in the past few weeks reflect on these questions. The findings provide comfort to poor families.

First, it appears that only the minority actually pay the "high price". A study by the US Education Department's National Center for Education Statistics found that 55 percent of college students last year received some forms of help--scholarships, loans(貸款)or jobs.

Other factors are also at work. The government has increased the size of its grants (補助金)to lower-income students. Grants, unlike loans, don't have to he repaid and are awarded only to college students who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree.

At the same time, most colleges are spending more on undergraduate education than they are collecting in tuition fees. A study, which is part of the Williams College Project on the Economics of Higher Education, reaches the conclusion that on average colleges “subsidize (贊助)” their students. The results of these studies, however, leave unanswered the questions of whether educational costs are higher than they need to be. Some experts argue that much of the college cost results from educational competition for fame, students and facilities.

This puts upward pressure on tuition, hut many colleges feel that good fame will enable them to attract students even if they charge them more.

Therefore, until something important changes in the marketplace, costs seem likely to continue rising. And American families will continue to beat down the doors of the high price "college in the end．

I would surely still go to college if I had that much money, but I would not be competing for a scholarship on collegenet. com. I would probably still discuss things here and I would create other scholarships to help other people to go to college as well.

With $ 50 million, I would not have to worry about getting a loan（貸款）from Chase Bank or finding scholarships to study abroad. I would have published several books by now as well, but I would still pursue my education. Going to undergraduate school is something that I really want to do because I want to become a Pediatrician. Money may buy a lot of things, but it does not necessarily give you knowledge and knowledge is what I am hunting for now.

I am not just going to school to get a better job; I am going to school to realize all of my dreams. $ 50 million is a lot of money, but no amount of money can keep me from my dreams.

I still want to teach... I don’t care if I have more money than Bill Gates... I still want to be in a classroom teaching! ! And I need a degree to do that! Teaching is my dream job, and it would make me really happy.

I would pay off my loans as well as my boyfriend’s loans and help out a couple of friends who are having trouble with money.

I would still go to college. The only difference is with that much money to go to college I probably would stay in college longer and pursue a few extra degrees while I am there. I am looking for knowledge not money. The only problem is I need money to pursue knowledge.

Also I could set up scholarship funds and I could save some more for additional dreams that I have.
