此處carrots是名詞復(fù)數(shù),用them替代,故把it改為them。
根據(jù)At that moment可知句子用一般過去時(shí)態(tài),故把catch改為caught。
此處ring是可數(shù)名詞,結(jié)合句意可知在removed后加入the或her。
in vain“徒勞”,故把for改為in。

My father's friend Henry used to be a teacher at a medical school and he was very strict with his students. The students were afraid of him though he was seldom pleased of the answers they gave. Once a student was seated before him, and Henry required him describe a certain illness, his description of which turned out to be OK. Then Henry asked about the cure for the illness, but the student gave the right answer. 6eHow much will you give the patient?" “A full spoon!” Suddenly the student realizes that there was anything wrong. He said anxiously, “I've made the mistake a full spoon is too many, and he can take only five drops.” “It's too late; your patient has been died,” Henry said cold.

I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I’ll unable to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can’t accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day’s hard works. Besides, it is important for us to know what had happened at home and at abroad. Thus, we shouldn’t be forbidden to watch TV.
