Collecting any sort of item makes a person unique. It can be stamps, baseball cards, snow globes,or even coins. What you collect can also show who you are as a person. My husband has a wonderful collection handed down from generation to generation. He has a massive collection of coins. The tradition started from his great grandmother, who handed her coins down to her daughter, who in turn, handed them down to my husband's mother. The tradition was supposed to stay within the daughters of the family. However,my husband had more interest in the collection than his sister and brother. So,his mother handed over her collection to him.

It was given to him about ten years ago,and since then, the collection has doubled. He has coins from Roman times and World War II!Just recently he got a whole collection from Europe and Mexico. Collecting them alone is amazing. However, the way he takes care of them is even better. He cherishes every one of his coins. He keeps all of them in a small bag also given by his mother, and stores it away safely" in a small drawer. No matter where he travels,or where he visits," he always comes home with a coin in his hand. Each one of those coins has a story behind them. Each time he holds a coin in his hand,a story comes out about how he got it.

Many people would think the coin collection is fun and typical. For my husband,it has so much more meaning. It is a true passion that he hopes to pass on to our child in the future. Anything that can create a story,a memory,or a happy thought makes it worthwhile. A collection of any sort makes a person unique. For me,my husband is someone who has a unique hobby.

Is there any hope for the r/nVio (蘇門答臘犀牛)?Only about 100 of these small, hairy rhinos remain on the planet. And only a few of them exist in the wild. Scientists are lucky to spot one or two on camera traps every couple years. Like all other rhino species,Sumatran rhinos have been poached (偷獵)for their valuable horns, which are used in traditional Asian medicine and can sell at high prices. Although rhino horns have no medical effects, they are used to “treat” everything.

A year earlier, some people rescued what now appears to have been the last wild Bornean rhino in Malaysia from a poacher's trap. That rhino,a female named Iman, was briefly thought to be a sign of hope for the species. At the time of her rescue,it appeared that she was pregnant. That didn’t  turn out to be the case. Examinations showed that she — like many of the remaining females in her species — was suffering from a disease ihat prevented her from becoming pregnant.

Another sign of hope arrived this month. A Sumatran rhino named Harapan — whose name means “hope” 一 arrived in Indonesia as part of a program. The American rhino joined his older brother,Andalas, who arrived in Sumatra in 2007 and fathered a rhino in 2012. All previous breeding efforts in Indonesia failed — for 140 years ‘— until Andalas arrived. Andalas* mate,Ratu,is now expecting her second baby rhino.

However, any rhinos in captivity would not help the remiaining wild rhinos, because they probably wouldn't be able to be released into the jungle after being raised among humans. That means protecting the few wild rhinos remains important.

13. What do we know about the wild Sumatran rhino from Paragraph 1 ?

   A. It lives a safer life than before.

   B. Its horn is seldom used in medicine.

   C. It isn't afraid of being taken pictures.
