On Monday，we had a class meeting on the topic"Not wasting food starts with me"，and also discussed how we can do our bit as students．Finally，we reached an agreement and immediately began to work．The following day，we went to restaurants to hand out leaflets，calling on people to never order or cook more than they can eat，and telling them that they should feel guilty when dumping leftovers．The next afternoon，in a nearby community，we delivered a speech so as to raise people's awareness about wasting food，in which we highlighted this problem，especially in the catering industry and school canteens．We told them that the food waste issue is real，which puts a heavy burden on China's already limited resources．What we presented shocked everyone present．Then on Thursday，my classmates and I made a wall poster to present what we had done，which surely influenced all the students in my school．
Though the activity lasted only one week，I truly learned that it is insensible and uncivilized to waste food．I also sincerely hope people from all walks of life will refuse to waste any food from now on．
