Facebook(a social networking service) makes it far too easy to make new friends. Unfortunately, reality is not like that. 1 The difference here is that we don’t get to choose our families;friends,on the other hand, are picked, selected and developed through our life.
It is quite funny how your best friends know exactly what you are thinking without even telling them. 2 This friend’s sixth sense is something that takes time to develop through many long-lasting experiences that you go through.
I was once asked: Which one would be the worst thing,to lose all your loved ones or to lose all your friends? 3 I believe that I couldn’t live a day if I had lost all my friends.
Respect, loyalty(忠誠) ,and support are some of the qualities that will form a good friendship. There are many others for sure, but it is enough for you to get these.
4 The ability to trust someone and therefore,be trusted, can be only built with a lot of effort and time.
I hate that ugly Facebook’s message “Add to your friends?” It is like a friend was something that you could simply add to your “portfolio(文件夾) ” without feeling. 5
A. | My answer was certainly the latter. |
B. | This is definitely not the way to make friends. |
C. | This is not something that happens overnight. |
D. | Life without friends is just like soup without salt. |
E. | We need friends to help us when we meet with difficulties. |
F. | Trust is also one of the major features of a good relationship. |
G. | Friends sometimes are just as important to us as our families. |

LOS ANGELES (Reuters Life!) 一Most US parents said their children had encountered(遭遇) “issues” like bad language, sex or advertising online over the past year, but they are not stopping their kids,Internet use, according to a new study.
A survey by market researcher Harris Interactive of 411 parents of children aged between 6〜18 who use the Internet found 71 per cent admitted their children had encountered at least “one issue” with the Internet within the past year.
But four out of five parents said the Internet helped their children in school and only three in ten parents—or 31 per cent—said their children spent too much time online.

Do you like sitting on the edge of your seat? How about falling off it laughing? If so, Rush Hour 2 is the perfect movie for you. Although it didn’t get the best reviews,it is perfect for those who like a good comedy.
Just as in the first Rush Hour, Inspector(檢察官) Lee(Jackie Chan) and LAPD Detective(偵探) James Carter (Chris Tucker) are partners. This time, they are on vacation in China and Carter is looking for a good time, but they are on the job again when a bombing at the American Embassy(大使館) kills two customs officers. Lee and Carter go to look for a suspect(嫌疑JE) named Ricky Tan. For Lee this is a serious case because Tan kills his father. Will Carter and Lee be able to capture Tan?
Another reason to see this movie perhaps is for the thrilling action, which includes karate fights with Jackie Chan. One of my favourite scenes shows Carter and Lee are in a massage parlor(按摩院) when everything goes crazy.
Rush Hour 2 is,of course, really funny with Chris Tucker being the leading role. Chan and Tucker have many clever jokes and remarks. Some of the jokes aren’t enjoyed by the critics, but most will find them entertaining.
With no doubt, the movie is great. I was filled with anxiety about what
was going to happen next. Many critics said that sequels(續(xù)集) were not as
good as the original but I think this one is great. I especially enjoyed it because the special effects are minimal,so everything looks as though it actually happened. The lighting effect is great as well as the sound.
So,if you are looking for a great action movie that leaves you at the edge of your seat and makes you laugh quite a bit,you should rush to see Rush Hour 2 .
1 . According to the author,Rush Hour is a perfect movie particularly .
A. full of special effects B. with the best actors

2. In Rush Hour 2,the two leading roles are on duty again because .
A. their vacation in China is limited to a short term
B. Inspector Lee doesn’t want to have a good time
C. the American Embassy in China was attacked
D. a suspect named Ricky Tan killed Lee’s father
3. In Rush Hour series, the following are usually included EXCEPT .
A. thrilling actions B. maximal special effects
C. karate fights D. clever jokes and remarks
4. If Rush Hour 3 is shot, what kind of movie will it be?
A. Stage tragedy. B. Action movie.
