Five days later, the tragic(悲劇的，悲慘的) news spread throughout Britain — Titanic, which was on her maiden(首次的) voyage on April 14,1912, had sunk, taking hundreds of lives with it. The Clark family should have been on that ship, but because the son had been bitten by a dog, they were left behind.
When Mr. Clark heard the news, he hugged his son and thanked him for saving the family. He thanked God for turning what he had felt was a tragedy(悲劇，慘劇) into a blessing(賜福，幸事).

The use of advertisement is certainly great both to the producer and the consumer. There is a great deal of truth in the saying that good quality and honest workmanship are best advertisement. Of course, people know that the manufacturers would have done better if they have used the money for advertising in making better products to sell. As an old saying goes, “You can take in all people part of time; and you can take in some people all the time; but you cannot take in all the people all the time.
