This decision，which comes into force this term，has caused a heated argument．

Most of the students are in favour of this decision，for they will have more time to study what they want，take part in activities，and build their characters．But some students are afraid of being forced to attend various remedial classes by their parents．

The majority of-teachers think this decision is very useful in developing students，ability to learn by themselves．However，some of them are worried that part of the students can’t make the best of their spare time after school，having a chat on the Internet or playing video games·

Parents have also expressed their views．Many support this decision，thinking reducing a learning load helps to keep their children healthy physically and mentally，while some parents doubt if their children can be admitted to universities in the fierce competition．
