2.Was it _______she said _______ you were angry at so much?( 。
A.what; thatB.that; whichC.that; whatD.what; which

分析 是不是她所說的話使你如此生氣?

解答 答案是A.本題考查強(qiáng)調(diào)句型和從句中的引導(dǎo)詞;強(qiáng)調(diào)句型的基本結(jié)構(gòu)是"It be+被強(qiáng)調(diào)部分+that(被強(qiáng)調(diào)的是人可以用who)+其它".強(qiáng)調(diào)句型通常的判斷方法是去掉"It be…that",句子能夠還原為完整的句子,則通常為強(qiáng)調(diào)句型;如果被強(qiáng)調(diào)的是一般疑問詞,要把be放在句首,構(gòu)成"be it+被強(qiáng)調(diào)部分that+其它",被強(qiáng)調(diào)部分是___ she said,故第二空用that構(gòu)成強(qiáng)調(diào)句型;去掉be it…that 該句還原為"you were angry at ____ she said",可見at后的賓語(yǔ)從句中缺少said的賓語(yǔ),what在名詞性從句中可做主語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)、表語(yǔ)或定語(yǔ),表示"所、什么";故第一空用what,強(qiáng)調(diào)句中被強(qiáng)調(diào)的是主語(yǔ)從句what she said,答案是A.

14.If you ever visit an English village,make sure to look out for morris dancing.Undoubtedly one of the strangest traditions of English culture,morris dancing is a form of folk dancing that dates back to the 15th century.If you ever get the opportunity,you really have to see it.
Men and women wearing old-fashioned,shabby clothing dance in the streets of towns and villages across the country during the holiday periods.Women wear long,frilly(有褶皺邊的)skirts and men wear short trousers with bell s attached to them.They dance to traditional folk music which is often played on traditional musical instruments.
Some groups carry heavy black sticks which they beat against each other while they dance.Other groups wave handkerchiefs in the air while they perform.The dances are usually performed near a pub so that when it's over,the dancers and audience can sing some traditional folk songs over a pint of beer.The celebrations will often continue long into the night,by which point most people are too drunk to think about performing again.
Morris dancing is a great English tradition but it's facing a big crisis.As the years go by,fewer and fewer young people are joining morris dancing groups.The dancers are getting older and older and eventually,if nothing is done to change this trend,the tradition will die out within the next few decades.
If you've ever had the fortune to see morris dancing,you may understand why teenagers aren't rushing to sign up.Putting it to the point,it's not exactly the coolest thing for an 18-year-old to be doing.Why dress up in bells and funny costumes when you could be going clubbing?Or playing sport?Or doing anything else?
However,it would be a great shame to lose such a fun and lively part of England's history and culture.It's important to look after some traditions and customs especially when it's something as harmless and happy as morris dancing.So here's a toast to the next generation of would-be morris dancers!Let's hope they don't leave it too late.

12.A MAJOR breakthrough that could save many lives could be coming,as a simple blood test from genomics (基因組學(xué)) company Illumina could help to detect (發(fā)現(xiàn))cancer early.
The company, helped by $100 million (about 658 million yuan)from famous tech founders like Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos, aims to find warning signs of any type of cancer before there are any symptoms or tumors (腫瘤),and thus save many lives, according to The Telegraph.
The race to invent this type of technology is happening between several scientists. For example, the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute and the University of Leicester in the UK are both working on similar technologies.
Although some blood treatments that show tumors returning or cancer getting worse have been developed, scientists have been trying for some time to find cancer signs in people that otherwise seem healthy. The technology, called"liquid biopsy",would work by finding parts of DNA that are known to be signs of cancer in the blood as the disease developed.
Catching cancer early isn't always a good thing-some cancers never go on to become dangerous, but treating them can have bad side effects. However,Jay Flatley, the Illumina chief executive and chairman of Grail,a company set up by Illumina, told The New York Times that Grail will solve these issues by sequencing(確定…的順序)the DNA of 30,000 to 50,000 people. It will check how serious their cancers are over time to make the test accurate. The money of a large company like Illumina means that its DNA sequencing technologies are far more accurate than the average ones.
At the University of Leicester, researchers such as Professor Jacqui Shaw are also trying to solve the problem by analyzing bits of DNA for errors that are only related to fast-progressing tumors.
"We hope today is a turning point in the war on cancer,"said Flatley."By making it possible for cancer to be detected early in people with no symptoms through a simple blood test,we aim to greatly decrease cancer deaths by finding the disease at a stage when it can be cured."
Last year,a similar test created in London by the Institute of Cancer Research was able to tell if breast cancer was coming back almost eight months before any symptoms were found.

A.has invented a new medicine to cure cancer
B.has found a new way to cure cancer of any kind
C.is developing a new treatment for breast cancer
D.could use a blood test to catch cancer early
60.What can be concluded from the article?C
A.Blood tests still can't discover signs of cancer returning.
B.Only scientists in the UK are making progress in cancer research.
C.Finances play an important role in research.
D.The"liquid biopsy"technology is the first blood treatment adopted in the history of cancer research.
61.The author wrote the article mainly toA.
A.inform us of a new method of detecting cancer
B.call for donations to companies doing medical research
