Traditional Chinese MusicThe variations of rhythm, beat, tone quality, and embellishments in traditional Chinese music are highly distinctive and unlike their Western counterparts.This is mainly due to the unique sounds and playing styles of traditional Chinese musical instruments.Chinese musical instruments can be divided into four basic categories based on the method by which they are played.The first category includes the bowedstrings, or Hu Qin.The second category includes the pluckedstrings, of which there are three types:dulcimers, lutes, and harps.The third category encompasses the woodwind section.There are flutes, pipes, and Chinese trumpets.The final category encompasses the percussion section.The main instruments include? drums, timpani, gongs, and cymbals.For some songs, bells, xylophones, tuned gongs, and the triangle are used.The percussion section is called the wuch'an, or martial scene, in traditional Chinese opera.?
Modern Chinese Music
In modern Chinese music, many traditional facets still remain.Many modern instrumental music pieces incorporate traditional instruments while adapting a more modern style.However, instrumental music is still very traditional.Many works of traditional music are still played by small quartets and large orchestras.Chinese melodies are quite unique and incorporate into many modern compositions.Chinese instrumental music has changed because it is no longer restricted to the traditional format.Even non traditional instruments such as the piano are used in creating modern works.

Kate said, "Li Hua is really a hard-working student.He spends at least four hours everyday reviewing his lessons and his homework is never late.As the exams get closer he becomes even more diligent and works into the early hours of the morning, making sure he has gone over all of the information covered in our classes."
John said, "Li Hua is the kind of person who is easy to co-operate with.Although he's very clever he is still willing to listen to others' opinions and take their suggestions.When we do group work in class we all want to be in his group because he always does his share of the work and is easy to get along with."
Tim said, "Li Hua is the class monitor and the most helpful student in our class.He always makes sure the classroom is kept clean and assists the teacher in handing out and collecting the students' books and homework.When a student is absent from school he will call and tell them what they have missed."

Many fear the Internet because of its disadvantage. They claim (主張) not to use the Internet because they are simply not interested or are afraid of the possible consequences (后果). Children using the Internet has become a big concern. When children talk to others online, they do not realize they could actually be talking to a person who may harm them later. The most common thing the Internet is used for is research. Children and students are among the top ones who use the Internet for research. Let children learn to judge their own work. A child learning to talk does not learn by being corrected all the time; if corrected too much, he will stop talking. He notices a thousand times a day the difference between his language and others’ language. Bit by bit, he makes the right changes to make his language like other people’s. In the same way, children learn to do all the other things. They learn to talk, run, climb, ride a bicycle by comparing their own behaviors with those of more skilled people, and slowly make the needed changes. But in school teachers never give a child a chance to find out his mistakes for himself, even fewer chances for him to correct himself. They do it all for him. Teachers act as if the student would never notice a mistake if they did not point out it to him. They act as if the student would never correct it unless he was made to. Soon he becomes dependent on the teacher. Let the student do it himself. Let him work out, with the help of other children if he wants it, what this word means and what the answer is to that problem.
