Dear Mrs. Smith,
Thank you very much for your letter last week. When you were teaching in our school, you gave me a lot of advice on how to improve my listening, reading and writing skills. Following your advice, I have listening and speaking practice every day. I’ve done a lot of reading, especially fast reading. When I write, I try to use words and patterns I have learned from the textbook. Thus I have made a lot of progress. However, I remain pretty weak in Cloze Test. I guess I don’t have strong ability to understand the whole passage, and can’t tell the difference in meaning between words, so I can’t make the right choice. Would you please give me more help?
