考點分析: 考點1:非謂語動詞 非謂語動詞:在句子不作謂語使用的動詞,其形式有不定式、現在分詞、動名詞和過去分詞四種(通常我們把現在分詞和動名詞統(tǒng)稱為-ing分詞)。  非謂語動詞短語:非謂語動詞仍保留動詞的性質,可以有自己的賓語、表語或狀語,我們將非謂語動詞和其賓語、表語或狀語一起稱作非謂語動詞短語。  非謂語動詞的判定方法:考慮句中謂語動詞以及其它詞語同非謂語動詞的關系和對非謂語動詞形式的限制,以便選用正確的非謂語動詞形式。   非謂語動詞判定的基本步驟: ①是否應用-ing分詞  ② 是否應用不帶to的不定式  ③ -ing分詞還是不定式 ④-ing分詞還是過去分詞  ⑤ 不定式的用法  一、是否應用-ing分詞: 下列情況必須用-ing分詞  1、在下列動詞(短語)之后作賓語或賓補時; 2、在介詞之后作賓語時; 3、作句子主語位于句首時;  4. 位于限定詞后作名詞使用時;、 5、在“go + -ing形式(運動名稱)”和“ do some + -ing形式”這類固定短語中。   We will go fishing if it doesn’t rain tomorrow.       She did some shopping last Sunday.   6. –ing分詞前邏輯主語的使用:有時我們需要在-ing分詞前加上其動作的發(fā)出者(邏輯主語),其動作的發(fā)出者用名詞所有格或形容詞性物主代詞表示。 二、是否應用不帶to的不定式:  下列情況必須使用不帶to的不定式  1、位于情態(tài)動詞后同情態(tài)動詞一起作謂語時;  2、位于would rather , had better , why (not)之后的不定式; 3、位于感官動詞和使役動詞后作賓補的不定式(注:help之后作賓補的不定式可以帶to也可不帶to); 4、兩個不定式由and , or , except , but 或 than連接在一起時,第二個不定式常常不帶to。  三、-ing分詞還是不定式:   1、動詞like之后,使用不定式主要說明一次性的動作;使用-ing分詞主要說明存在的狀況。  2、begin和start之后,-ing分詞和不定式都可使用,但如果begin/start自身為-ing分詞時,之后通常用不定式。  3、stop、remember、forget和go on之后的非謂語動詞形式的判定,主要應考慮非謂語動詞的動作在謂語動詞動作前是否已發(fā)生:如動作發(fā)生在謂語動詞的動作前,用-ing形式;如動作發(fā)生在謂語動詞的動作后,用不定式。 4、need之后的非謂語動詞形式的判定,主要考慮句子的主語同非謂語動詞的關系:如句子的主語為非謂語動詞的邏輯主語,用不定式;如句子的主語為非謂語動詞的邏輯賓語,用-ing形式。 5. 感官動詞后的非謂語動詞形式的判定,主要應考慮是說明整個動作(不帶to的不定式),還是說明動作的一部分(-ing形式)。主要有下面幾種情況:  (1)句子中有表頻率的詞時,用不帶to的不定式;  (2)look at以及see和hear的過去式后,一般用-ing形式; (3)watch之后,一般用不帶to的不定式。 四、-ing分詞還是過去分詞:   1. 表伴隨的插入語中的非謂語動詞形式的判定,主要應考慮句子的主語同非謂語動詞的關系:如句子的主語為非謂語動詞的邏輯主語,用-ing形式;如句子的主語為非謂語動詞的邏輯賓語,用過去分詞。  2. call和name位于名詞后,其后帶上人名、書名等詞語時,用過去分詞。 3. there be句中位于名詞后的非謂語動詞,如名詞相當于動作發(fā)出者(主動式),非謂語動詞用-ing分詞,如名詞為動作承受者(被動式),非謂語動詞用過去分詞。 五、不定式的用法(非上述四種情況時,非謂語動詞一般都使用帶to的不定式):  1.不定式的否定形式:在不定式的小品詞to前加否定詞not。 2. 先行詞it的使用:當不定式做句子的主語時或做句子的賓語其后帶有賓補時,為保持句子結構的平衡,通常將不定式放在句子末尾,而在原主語或賓語的位置上加上先行詞it。 3.  “wh-詞+不定式”的用法:wh-詞(特殊凝問詞)同不定式連用相當于一個wh-詞所引導的一個賓語從句,使用時應注意以下原則: ①如wh-詞為凝問代詞(what、which、who、whom或whose)時,不定式動詞應為及物動詞,但不帶賓語(wh-詞相當于不定式動詞的賓語) ②如wh-詞為凝問副詞(how、when、where等)時,不定式短語中不能再出現表示相同關系的詞語;另:如不定式動詞為及物動詞時,其后必須帶上賓語。   ③如wh-詞為連詞whether時,不定式短語中應有表示選擇的部分,否則不定式短語應用or not結尾。 4. 不定式的邏輯主語:不定式動詞仍保留動詞的特性,也有自己的主語(不定式動作的發(fā)出者),我們將不定式動作的發(fā)出者稱為不定式的邏輯主語。 5. 不定式的邏輯賓語:有時句子中不定式前的某個詞語相當于不定式的賓語,我們將其稱為不定式的邏輯賓語,此時不定式的動詞應為及物動詞或及物動詞詞組(動詞為不及物動詞時,應加上適當的介詞),但不能再帶賓語。 6. 不定式位于名詞后作定語:不定式位于名詞后作定語使用時應注意考慮名詞同不定式的關系。、 ①名詞相當于不定式的邏輯主語: ②名詞相當于不定式的邏輯賓語:此時不定式的動詞應為及物動詞或及物動詞詞組(動詞為不及物動詞時,應加上適當的介詞),但不能再帶賓語。 ③名詞相當于不定式的狀語:此時不定式應以介詞結尾(因為名詞不能直接作狀語,而應在其前加上適當的介詞構成介詞短語來作狀語,說明地點、方式等,所加的介詞這時放在不定式后)。

Many songs, poems, and books have been written on love’s strong effect on people. The state of being in love has even been compared to being sick or mad. A study by Professor Semir Zeki of University College London has found that love does affect people’s brains by making them feel great.

Zeki studied young men and women who had recently fallen in love. He found that, when they were looking at photos of their loved ones, there was heightened activity in four areas of their brains. These areas deal with emotions, and one of them, in particular, is known to respond to drugs that cause feelings of great joy and excitement.

Interestingly, the study also found a lack of activity in two other areas of the brain when the volunteers looked at their lovers’ photographs. One of these areas is linked to feelings of sadness, while the other is often active in people suffering from depression. It seems love really can be uplifting.

The state of being in love, according to some scientists, may actually be good for your health. Although scientists know that being in love can make a person feel great, the exact influence of love on a person’s health is harder to determine. However, scientists say that people do need love in order to live healthy lives.

According to Dr. Thomas Lewis, people need to be in relationships because that is how we are designed. He says the brain can only maintain(保持) the overall stability of a person’s immune(免疫) system, bodily rhythms, and heart if it receives input(輸入) from outside the body in the form of emotional connections with others.

Professor Antonio Damasio has a similar view. He says that love enriches a person’s imagination and creativity, and makes a person’s body work better. He also believes that love can even improve the body’s ability to fight against disease. Damasio’s wise words of advice are “ Choose love and you will live longer.”
