If a person forgets names, places or facts —and has trouble with everyday things like reading or shopping —it may not mean you are getting old. It could be Alzheimer’s disease. So it’s important to see a doctor as soon as you can.
There is no cure for Alzheimer’s. But a drug called ARICEPT has been used by millions of people to help their symptoms (癥狀).
In studies, ARICEPT has been proved to work for Alzheimer’s. It has helped people improve their memory over time. It has also helped them to keep doing everyday things on their own.
Ask your doctor if ARICEPT is right for you or your loved one. It is the Number One drug for Alzheimer’s in the world. The sooner you know it’s Alzheimer’s, the better ARICEPT can help.
ARICEPT is good for many but may not be good for everyone. Some people may experience not sleeping well, feeling very tired, or not wanting to eat . In studies, these side effects weren’t serious at all and went away over time. Some people taking ARICEPT may feel light-headed. In this case you should tell your doctors because your condition may get worse.

Dust storms are violent and mostly unpredictable. They
can cause property damage, injuries, and deaths, so it’s necessary to know what
to do when you come across them.
Watch out for dust storm
warnings. Dust storms are most likely to occur on hot summer days, so listen to
the local TV or radio broadcasts before traveling in hot, dry conditions, and
consider changing or giving up your trip if dust storms are predicted. Roadside
signs may also be able to warn you of dust storm danger.
Be prepared. If you are in a
storm-prone area, carry a mask(
口罩) to keep out small dust particles (顆粒), and
take eye protection to protect your eyes. A supply of water is also necessary.
Go beyond the storm. If you
see a dust storm from some distance, and you are in a vehicle, you should try
to escape from it. Some dust storms can travel at more than 75 miles per hour,
but they frequently travel much slower. However, it is not advisable to put
yourself at risk by driving at high speed.
Stay inside. Do not move
about in a storm, as you will not be able to see hidden risks in your path. So
if you’re in a house, stay inside.
Protect yourself from flying
objects. Cover as much of your body as possible. A dust storm’s high wind can
carry heavy objects. If you find yourself without shelter, try to stay low,
close to the ground, and protect your head with your arms, a backpack or a
pillow.

Pupils work harder in lessons if they are taught by a man, a study has claimed. Male teachers are more likely to improve pupils' self-esteem and are judged by pupils to be more fair, according to a study published by the Department for Education.
But there is a significant shortage of male teachers, especially in primary schools, with reports last month indicating that almost one in three primaries has an all-female teaching staff. The latest figures heightened fears that schools are becoming dominated (主宰) by women and children are being denied access to male role models in the classroom.
Researchers at the London School of Economics and Westminster University conducted an experiment in which each of 1,200 pupils in 29 schools was given £2. They could use the money to "buy" up to 10 questions at a cost of 20p each, which they then had to answer. If they were right they were given an extra 20p, but if they were wrong they lost 20p. Boys and girls who had a male teacher chose on average almost half a question more than those taught by women, indicating that they had a more positive outlook on the rewards of effort, the the study said.
Researchers wrote: "One of the most significant results featured in this experiment is the positive effect of male teachers on effort. The experiment suggests that higher ability pupils either believed that the teacher would reward them more favorably or had a preference for working hard to please the teacher."
According to the Good Teacher Training Guide, 86 per cent of new teachers entering primary schools are female, along with 62 per cent of those entering secondary schools.
Professor Alan Smithers, of Buckingham University, said: "This is an interesting and somewhat surprising finding, but it does underline the importance of having a good mix of male and female teachers in classes."

D. He thinks it’s interesting and somewhat surprising.
3.What does the author mainly tell us in the 3rd paragraph?
A. Researchers at the London School of Economics and Westminster University conducted an experiment.
B. Students could use the money to "buy" up to 10 questions and then had to answer them.
C. Boys and girls who had a male teacher chose on average almost half a question more than those taught by women.

D. this finding is interesting and surprising
