This Monday, we had a discussion about the good and bad sides of setting off firecrackers during the important festivals in China．We had different views on the problems． 　　Half of us believe that setting off firecrackers during the festivals is a Chinese tradition and it certainly adds pleasure and joy to the festivals．Half of us hold that setting off firecrackers may cause air and noise pollution．What’s worse, it may cause terrible accidents to children and to our property． 　　As far as I am concerned, every thing has two sides．Our government should take different measures in different areas．Such as in big cities, there should be a ban on it．Because too many people crowd there, and once fire breaks out it will cause great damage．Meanwhile, in the rural areas, people can set off firecrackers, as people here pay more attention to Chinese traditions． 　　In a word, we should not only say setting off firecrackers is permitted or not．
