The TOEFL test on computer combines many of the same question types as the traditional paper-based test with new question types that are only offered in the computer format可知,和傳統(tǒng)的考試相比,新的TOEFL考試增加了只能在電腦上操作的題型.
Structure20-25questions with l5-25minutes.
The essay is graded on a scaled score of 0to 6.Six is the highest possible score in the Writing Section可知,在這一部分,學(xué)生最多可得六分.
Structure Measures a student's ability to recognize language appropriate for standard written English,這部分測試學(xué)生寫作能力,包括語法能力;If you take the test more than once in a calendar month, your new scores will not be reported and your test fee will not be given back,可知C,D選項(xiàng)錯(cuò)誤.

17.As we enjoy the summer ocean waves along the beaches,we may think nervously about Steven Spielberg's Jaws and the great fear that sharks inspire in us.Yet we are happy to see global efforts to protect the declining number of sharks.The world has realized that we need the species,like sharks,to keep a balanced ecosystem.
Sharks,in particular,are"in''these days.Thanks to good public policy and famous stars such as Jackie Chan and Ang Lee,killing sharks for fin soup is no longer cool.
The demand for shark fins has been rising for decades,threatening sharks with extinction(滅絕)-up to 100million sharks are killed each year just for their fins.But we have started to reverse the trend,particularly in many areas of the United States and overseas where restaurants once proudly provided delicious shark fins on the menu.
In California,a ban on the sale and possession of shark fin soup has gone into effect this year through the efforts of Wild Aid and other organizations.
Overseas marketing and public efforts featuring posters on public transportation systems and TV ads have been underway for the past few years.These efforts all show signs of success,on both the supply side and the demand side of trade in shark fins.
Actually,stopping the killing of sharks is part of a broader movement to stop the killing of wild animals and the buying and selling of wildlife products.These products come from hunting elephants,tigers and rhinos,besides killing marine life.
Whether it is shark fin soup or ivory piano keys,killing animals is big business.The hunting of elephants in search of ivory tusks for luxury(奢侈的)goods has become a fall-scale war.The decrease of African elephant populations is alarming.Together with international partners,the United States is leading the worldwide effort to reduce demand for high-end products that rely on killing animals.

56.Why do people begin to make efforts to protect the declining number of sharks?
(No more than 15words)Because the world has realized that we need sharks to keep a balanced ecosystem.
57.What's the main reason for killing sharks?(No more than 10Worals)People kill sharks just for their fins.
58.Who helped California decide to ban the sale and possession of shark fin soup?
(No more than 5Words)Wild Aid and other organizations.
59.What does the underlined word‘‘reverse"in Paragraph 3mean?(1word)Change
60.In your opinion,what's the best way to stop killing animals?(No more than 20words)
In my opinion, abanonthesaleandpossessionofanimals is the best way.

7.Ask runners why they run and you'll get a variety of answers; to stay healthy or to feel better. Some have an even bigger reason一to stay calm or out of prison. But Back on My Feet puts recovering addicts and the homeless on the road to a brighter future, starting with a simple step; attending group runs three tunes a week.

The only requirement for joining, besides wanting to,is insisting on at least 30 days."The first day we give them new shoes and Back on My Feet shirts,"Mahlum says."Then they run a mile the first day.And then gradually we'll encourage them to build goals."After 30 days, residents gain access to services like financial aid, housing assistance and employment opportunities through Back on My Feet's partners. In its first year, the New York chapter has seen 41 members obtain employment,34 gain housing and 50 work in job-training programs.
That's not to say it's always easy."I wanted to quit. But then I started to push myself,"said Adel,39,who began running in March."Now I would love to run a 10-mile run.Or maybe a marathon one day,who knows.I ran this far,so why not?"
