第二句 warm改成warmly;them改成it

第四句 enjoyed改成enjoying;be前面加上to

第五句 in改成on

第六句 or改成and

第七句 that改成who;去掉the

這里的意思是參加校慶,所以attend后接的anniversary,所以需用代詞it來(lái)指代anniversary,故將them改為it。

根據(jù)前面的are to attend可知,speeches and teaching seminars還沒(méi)發(fā)生,所以這里需用動(dòng)詞不定式表示這件事情還沒(méi)有發(fā)生。

in time及時(shí),這里的意思是要準(zhǔn)時(shí)到達(dá),所以需用on time(準(zhǔn)時(shí),故將in改為on

這里take photosask questions之間是并列關(guān)系,or表示選擇關(guān)系,所以需改為and,故將or改為and。

當(dāng)先行詞是不定代詞everyone,everybody,anyone,anybody,someone,somebody,no one時(shí),關(guān)系代詞通常用who而不用that。故將that改為who。

ahead of time提前,為固定短語(yǔ),所以需將the去掉。

Brad Ryan had been feeling tired of studying in a vet school when he visited his 85-year-old grandma in 2015. He hoped that spending some quality family time would help lift his spirits.

As he was telling his grandma stories of his travels, however, he was heartbroken to hear that she had never seen the ocean or mountains. Ryan then asked his grandmother if she would like to go hiking with him. Needless to say, she was more than happy to agree.

They have since visited 29 different national parks across America---from the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado to the Acadia National Park in Maine. Dear Sir,

Thank you for inviting me to the summer English course in your school. As for your choice between the two courses, I prefer the four-week course because this will allow me more time to do some traveling but make a few new friends. Of all the subjects I’m learning at school, I like English best. I had been learning English for eleven years but my spoken English remains poor. So I really hope to take this chance improve it. If possible, I’d like to stay with a family for a couple of days in order that I can know some customs in England, which I’m particularly interested in it. I believe I will have a wonderful time this summer.

Yours truly,

Grace

In many countries, it is important to have many children. In the US, a few religious groups emphasize(強(qiáng)調(diào)) the importance of large families, but most people think one or two children are enough, and many couples have no children.1 Having many children would restrict the freedom and individualism(個(gè)人主義) of the parents as well as the other children in the family.

Parents teach individualism by the way they raise their children.2 Parents begin teaching this self-reliance (自力更生)early , asking the child to do things on her own and praising her when she does.

3 They bring their children with them to church , to sporting events, to stores, and to social events. However , many places, such as expensive restaurants and live theatre productions , do not welcome children. Most formal social gatherings , those with written invitations do not welcome children either.

Children, especially boys are expected to be energetic and assertive(果敢的). 4 Parents are expected to keep their children under control at all times, particularly in public places and in the homes of others. When a child misbehaves , only the child's parents may discipline him.5 Most parents discipline(訓(xùn)導(dǎo)) their children by rewarding good behaviors, not by punishing bad behaviors. While a spanking() , a slap to the child's buttocks(屁股), is acceptable to some people, any punishment that wounds the child or leaves a mark is considered child abuse and is against the law.

A.The relationship between American parents and their children is harmony.

B.That doesn't mean, though, that they are allowed to "run wild" in public.

C.Because taking care of a child is very costly, financially, emotionally, and socially, many couples view large families as a disadvantage.

D.Other adults should not interfere (干涉)unless the child is doing something which may be harmful to himself.

E.American children are expected to accept invitations to a formal party.

F.Many parents want to expose(使暴露) their children to a variety of situations.

G.They want to create a self-reliant, independent child, who can make it on her own by age eighteen.
