【6】would have been lost
【7】neither/nor has it kept him from
【8】swept her down
【9】to have acted well
【10】No matter how hard it is / However hard it is
make/find/think +it +adj+真正的賓語,由于真正的賓語太長(zhǎng),避免前重后輕;又因,it is +被強(qiáng)調(diào)部分+that,是強(qiáng)調(diào)句;故填that makes it really hard。
【2】考查the+比較級(jí),the+比較級(jí)用法。equip是及物動(dòng)詞,equip sb to do,使有準(zhǔn)備去做,故sb be equipped,某人準(zhǔn)備;根據(jù)句意可知用將來時(shí)will。故填the better equipped you will be。
a proposal came up at the meeting后的句子是對(duì)proposal的解釋說明,因此該句是同位語從句,又因句中成分無短缺,用that連接;考慮:take into consideration。故填that we should take into consideration。
故填leaving more resources to。
可知此題空白部分是修飾限制peole,修飾名詞可以是過去分詞短語或者相應(yīng)的定語從句;若是定語從句,可知從句中無主語,且先行詞是人,故用關(guān)系代詞who引導(dǎo)從句;catch用被動(dòng)語態(tài),故是who are caught eating and drinking,或者直接把who are省去,用過去分詞修飾,故填(who are )caught eating and drinking
【6】考查but for虛擬語氣。對(duì)過去的虛擬,主句用would/could/might have done,從句用had done,根據(jù)句意可知,是對(duì)過去的虛擬,故主句用would/could/might have done,be lost丟失,故填would have been lost。
neither放句首,句子用不完全倒裝形式,將助動(dòng)詞/情態(tài)動(dòng)詞/be動(dòng)詞,提前放主語前;由于本句時(shí)態(tài)是現(xiàn)在完成時(shí),故此處也相同;keep sth from doing 阻止做某事 故填neither/nor has it kept him from。
故填swept her down。
be consider to do/as;被認(rèn)為……;act well表現(xiàn)得好;根據(jù)句意可知act這個(gè)動(dòng)作是從過去開始持續(xù)到現(xiàn)在,故要用have done。故填to have acted well。
【10】考查no matter how/ however用法。 No matter how hard it is / However hard it is。

Although Zhang Bichen, a 25-year-old songstress with a powerful yet delicate voice, took the crown of this year’s The Voice of China, runner-up Parhat Halik, 32, seems to have impressed more of the audience with his husky(沙啞的), natural and, most of all, distinguished sound.
Despite his unmistakable voice, Parhat Halik’s music is also special. Generally, it’s rock — but influenced and mixed by different styles within the genre. Read on and find out where Halik’s music gets its inspiration.
Blues rock
Representative artists: Guns N’ Roses, The Rolling Stones, John Maye
Blues rock combines improvisation (即興創(chuàng)作) with rock ’n’ roll style. It began to develop in the mid-1960s in Britain and the US, when rock bands such as the Rolling Stones experimented with music from older African-American blues musicians. It borrows the idea of instrumental combo(小型樂隊(duì))from blues but is played at a faster tempo and louder volume, distinguishing it from the blues. The sound is created with the electric guitar, piano, bass and drums.
As the root for several contemporary rock styles, such as heavy metal and hard rock, blues rock had a rebirth in the early 2000s, with artists including John Mayer and The Black Keys.
Folk rock
Representative artists: Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, The Byrds
As the name indicates, folk rock is a genre combining elements of folk music and rock music. Also developed in the mid-1960s, folk rock was pioneered by the US band The Byrds, who began playing traditional folk music and Bob Dylan-penned material with rock instruments, in a style heavily influenced by The Beatles and other British bands.
The genre was most popular among teenagers and college students at the time, because it includes both rock ’n’ roll’s free spirit and the more serious, culturally authentic and socially aware sounds of folk music.
Soft rock
Representative artists: Bryan Adams, Eagles, Elton John, James Blunt
Compared to hard rock’s loud and aggressive nature, soft rock, or light rock, uses the techniques of rock music to compose a softer and less threatening sound. Derived from folk rock, it uses acoustic instruments(原聲樂器)and puts more emphasis on melody and harmony.
Although the genre gets quite a bad name among hardcore rock fans, who see it as “wimpy”(軟弱無力), it doesn’t mean soft rock is without merit (優(yōu)點(diǎn)). Soft rock songs often deal with themes like romantic relationships and everyday life in a thoughtful and complex way hard rock simply couldn’t.
【1】Which of the artists playing traditional folk music and Bob Dylan-penned material with rock instruments first?
A. The Beatles. B. The Byrds
C. Eagles. D. Guns N’ Roses.
【2】We can learn from the passage that ______________.
A. the Rolling Stones ignored African-American musicians’ work
B. soft rock focus more on melody and culture awareness
C. blues rock gained a second birth in the 2000s
D. all the three rock styles developed in America
【3】What is hardcore rock fans’ attitude towards soft rock?
A. They quite admire it.
B. They can hardly tolerate it.
C. They are indifferent to it.
D. They misunderstand it.
【4】What’s the main purpose of the text?
A. To help readers become rock ’n’ roll artists
B. To inform the readers of the result of The Voice of China
C. To introduce some common rock music to the readers
D. To offer the readers some suggestions of composing rock music

When a storm is coming, most people leave the area as quickly as possible and head for safety. But there are a few people who will get into their cars and go straight to the center of the storm. These people are willing to risk being killed by floods or 100-kilometer-an-hour winds for the excitement of watching the storm close up.
“Storm chasing ” is becoming an increasingly popular hobby , especially in the Midwest of the United States, where there are frequent storms between March and July. A storm chaser begins the day by checking the Internet for the latest weather reports, and then drives up to 1,000 kilometers to where the storm will be and waits for it to develop.
Although anyone can do it , storm chasing is extremely dangerous. The power of a big storm can throw a cow into the air or destroy a whole house in seconds. Storm chasers are also often hurt in accidents caused by driving in a heavy rain. If you are a beginner, it is much safer to join a group for storm-chasing vacations during the storm season.
Even then, storm chasing is not all adventure and excitement. “Storm chasing is 95% driving,” says Daniel Lynch, who spends most of his summer storm-chasing. “Sometimes you can sit around for hours waiting for something to happen, and all you get is blue sky and a few light showers.”
However, for storm chasers, it is all worth it. “When you get close to a storm, it is the most exciting sight you will ever see in your life,” says Jasper Morley. “Every storm is an example of the power of nature, It is the greatest show on earth.”
【1】 For storm chasing, the first thing storm chasers do is to ____ .
A. head straight for the center of the storm
B. get into the car for safety
C. wait patiently for the storm to develop
D. collect information about a coming storm
【2】Beginners of storm chasing are advised ______ .
A. not to drive in a heavy rain
B. to do it in an organized way
C. not to get too close to a storm
D. to spend more time on it in summer
【3】 By saying “it is all worth it” in the last paragraph, the author means that _____ .
A. storm chasing costs a lot of money
B. storm chasing is worth hours of waiting
C. efforts in storm chasing are well paid
D. a storm presents the greatest show on earth
【4】 What can we learn from the text?
A. Sometimes storm chasers get nothing but disappointment
B. Many storm chasers get killed in the storms.
C. Storm chasing is becoming popular around the world.
D. Storm chasing is only fit for young people.
