As a widow with a young child in 1979,Mrs.Cooper was helped through a difficult financial time when the Food Bank provided her with groceries.“She dedicated her life to giving back,” said her daughter,Monica Cooper.It wasn’t unusual for a local church to call Mrs Cooper to ask her to aid a needy family.“She would give people food out of her cupboard.Sometimes we would cook a meal for a family living out of their car,” Cooper said.

Although Mrs Cooper was honored to receive the national award for her volunteer work,she said being able to help others was her reward.She died of liver disease and kidney failure,aged 93.

Although online classes have existed for more than a decade, the concern over cheating become sharper in the last year with the growth of “open online courses.” Private colleges, public universities and corporations are jumping into the online education field, spending millions of dollars to attract potential students, while also taking steps to help guarantee honesty at a distance.

Aside from the web cameras, a number of other high-tech methods are becoming increasingly popular. Among them are programs that check student’s identities using personas information, such as the telephone numbers they once used.

Other programs can produce unique exams by drawing on a large list of questions and can recognize possible cheaters by analyzing whether difficult test questions are answered at the same speed as easy ones.
