      Joseph Pulitzer(April 10，1847—October 29，1911)was a Hungarian—American publisher best known for establishing the Pulitzer Prizes after death．

      Pulitzer was born in Makó，Hungary．At 17，Pulitzer attempted to join the Austrian army．but was turned down due to age，bad health and poor eyesight. The centerpiece of curling(冰壺)is the curling stone, which has been called a “geometrical masterpiece of tooled geology (地質(zhì)). ” Kays of Scotland has been making curling stones since 1851, when William Kay and his sons Andrew and Thomas set up a workshop in Mauchline, Ayrshire , in southwest Scotland.
