The famous Saint Bernard dogs have saved many travellers lost in storms on the Alps. The dog's home is a travelers' shelter(避難所) kept by Augustinian monks(修道士). It stands at the highest point of the Great Saint Bernard Pass. For hundreds of years the pass has been used for travel between Switzerland and Italy. The journey was often dangerous.
