There was once a young man called Paul in a village in the USA. Paul was very lazy because his father was a rich farmer and he didn’t have to work. Mr Smith, a neighbour of his, was a blacksmith (鐵匠). He used to work in his shop all day. Paul spent hours and hours watching how the blacksmith worked every day. “Young man, why don’t you try your hand to make a shoe tack (鐵釘), even it is only to pass the time?” said the blacksmith one day, “ Maybe it will be useful to you some day.” Finally, the lazy boy began to have a try. Paul went to talk with them. He told them that he would make the tacks if they could help him find a workshop in the village. The shoemakers agreed. Then Paul made a lot of money by making tacks. “How funny it is!” he said to himself, “Even by making shoe tacks, one can become rich.”

Dear Earthmen(地球人)，
I enjoy my stay on your interesting planet(星球).
I think I know the life on Earth now and I would like to tell you my ideas.
First of all you live in boxes. Every morning you leave your boxes and get into smaller boxes on wheels(輪子). All these small boxes run around and around, and finally stop to rest. You leave these boxes on wheels and go to very large tall boxes.
After resting all day, you get back in your little boxes. There you sit and look at very small glowing boxes with moving pictures in them.
There is only one thing I don’t know. Some angry boys fought for a little round (圓的) ball. Everyone shouted(大聲喊) but they kept fighting. They were angry, because they had to stay in boxes all day, I think.
