We all know that thinking green is sometimes the most difficult thing to do, but not impossible! Bed ZED, a new eco-friendly village (生態(tài)村) in the south of London, has done a great job of providing its villagers with a high level living while getting them to pay more attention to protecting the environment.
people in Bed ZED have done many things. They recycle their paper, plastic, glass and other daily things. They build many houses whose windows face south in order to get as much sunlight as possible. The rainwater is collected for use in the toilets. Also, the people there travel to work in shared cars or use public transportation if they work far away.
Now, you may think it’s not easy to live such a life, but let me tell you. it’s not! It’s a way of life. We just have to say no to what is bad for the environment, and begin working on ideas to protect it. Life would be much more pleasant if villages like Bed ZED existed (存在) all over the world!

 James is a good student and he has lots of friends，but he also has a problem．Some older boys are bullying(欺負)him at school．James is very unhappy and he doesn't know what to do about it．Here are some suggestions to him and other teenagers in this situation．

    Don't feel worried．It's not your fault(過錯)! Being bullied can make you feel very lonely and angry，but you are not alone．Don't feel that you have to hide the problem．You should find a person you can trust，and tell them．It might be your teacher，your parents，or even your friend's parents．After you tell someone，you will get some support and feel some relief(解脫)．

    Speaking to an adult might make you nervous，but here are other things you can do．Some people express their feelings more easily on paper．Write a letter to someone or keep a diary．Include all the details(細節(jié))about what the bullies do, as well as when and where the bullying happens．You can use it as proof to show what is going on．And it is a wonderful idea to

 show your letter or diary to a teacher or another responsible adult．Then the bullies will feel very afraid if their names appear in a letter!

Also，don't show you are sad and don't try and fight with the bullies. You could get in trouble yourself. Ignore them and just walk away. The bullies will soon stop.

People have their own ways of saying things with their own special expressions. Some of these expressions are easy to understand. “As Easy as Falling off a Log (圓木)” is one such expression. It describes a job that does not take much effort. If you ever tried to walk on a falling tree log, you may understand what the expression means. It is easier to fall off the log than to stay on it.

There are several other expressions that mean the same thing. And their meaning is as easy to understand as falling off a log. One is “Easy as Pie.” Nothing is easier than eating a piece of sweet juicy pie, unless it is a piece of cake. “A Piece of Cake” is another expression that means something is extremely easy to do.

Another expression is “As Easy as Shooting Fish in a Barrel (桶)”. Clearly, fish in a barrel will be much easier to shoot than fish in a river. In fact, it would be as easy as falling off a log.

Sometimes, things that come to us easily also leave us just as easily. In fact, there is an expression “Easy Come Easy Go”. Another easy expression is “To Go Easy on a Person”. It means to treat a person kindly or gently, especially in a situation where you might be expected to be angry with him. A wife might ask her husband to go easy on their son, because the boy did not mean to destroy the toy. If you want to borrow some money to fix the car, you should look for a friend who is an “Easy Touch”. An easy touch or a soft touch is someone who is kind and helpful.

And there is one more expression that means do not worry or work too hard. Try to keep away from difficult situations. “Take it easy”, until we meet again.
