It's very important for us to manage time wisely. On weekdays, I do my homework first when I get home from school. I work on just one task at a time. I also limit my time on mobile phone or TV. At weekend, I make a plan for all the things I have to do and stick to it.

【題目】 Answer the questions (根據(jù)以下內(nèi)容回答問題)
Do you think you’re a lucky person? Let’s see what Professor Richard Wise-man, a famous psychologist(心理學家), has discovered about luck:
Ten years ago, I set out a research on luck. I wanted to know why some people are always in the right place at the right time, while others always experience ill luck.
Many people volunteered for my research. Over the years I interviewed them, watched their lives and had them take part in my experiment.
I carried out a simple experiment to discover why there were differences in their ability to find opportunities. I gave both lucky and unlucky people a newspaper and asked them to look through it an tell me how many photographs were in side.
I had secretly placed a large message halfway through the newspaper saying. “Tell the researcher you have seen this and win $50.”
This message took up half of the page and was more than two inches high. It was staring everyone straight in the face, but unlucky people tended to (傾向于)miss it and lucky people tended to spot it.
Unlucky people are just more nervous than lucky people. They are busy looking only for what they need and this stops them from noticing the unexpected. As a result, they miss out on opportunities.
Lucky people tend to be more relaxed and open. They can see everything that is in front of them, rather than just what they are looking for.
My research shows that lucky people live by several principles(原則). Here are some of these principles:
1.Opportunities are always given to those who are prepared.
2. Be open to new experiences and break your normal thought patterns(模式).
3.Spend a few moments each day remembering things that went well.
4.See yourself being lucky before an important meeting or phone call.
【1】How long has Professor Richard Wise-man studied on luck?
【2】What did the volunteers do for the professor during the research?
【3】What’s the purpose of Professor Richard Wise-man’s small experiment?
【4】The message in the newspaper was so small that unlucky people couldn’t find it, wasn’t it?
【5】Why did the unlucky fail to find the message in the newspaper according to the research?
【6】Which principle of the four is the most important in your opinion? Why?

【題目】閱讀下面短文,按照句子結(jié)構(gòu)的語法性和上下文連貫的要求,在空格處填入一個適當?shù)脑~或用括號中詞語的正確形式填空。將答案寫在答卷上
When holiday is coming to an end, how many of you have burned the midnight oil to finish your homework for several days? 【1】 the school year, when you get home from school, do you start working on your homework right away?
It is hard to be this responsible. A lot of people tend to put off difficult or 【2】 (challenge) tasks until they must be done. They are called procrastinators(拖延癥患者).
Procrastination is a common problem for 【3】 (million) of people, in fact, sometimes it just feels easier to wait till the last minute to do certain things. 【4】, this is usually not a good thing, as you have to work harder and faster. This means your work will 【5】 (probable) be of less quality.
I myself am a bit of a procrastinator. But most of the time, I try to finish my work earlier rather 【6】 later. It just makes more sense – if I finish my work now, I 【7】 (have) more time to relax or work on other projects later. Sometimes, it can be hard to promise 【8】get) started immediately. But once I do, the work will get done quickly and successfully.
It’s a 【9】(nature) thing for everyone to procrastinate from time to time. You’d better not beat 【10】 (you) up over it. After all, we still need time to relax and take a break from our busy lives. Just make sure you still get your homework done on time!

Doctors often need to ask their patients many questions. Busy doctors usually ask each patient a few questions. But Dr Robot can ask a patient questions for an hour if it is necessary. With the help of Dr Robot, a human doctor can have a lot of information when he meets his patient. How can Dr Robot do this? A computer “tells” him what to do.
