A[2014 •宜賓改編]

Moms take care of their children's life and dads bring home food and make the family rules. These are the roles moms and dads fall in to when they become parents and it's common among all cultures. But times change and parents' roles seem to be changing, too. More women are bringing home food by having full-time jobs and men are taking care of their children at home.

Chinese TV show Where Are We Going,Dad? provides a closer look at the changing roles of dads in modern family life. The show follows the adventures (冒險(xiǎn)經(jīng)歷) of five celebrity (明星) dads who take trips with their young children (aged 4 to 6) and try to complete a set of tasks. It shows how young dads are trying hard to find the best way to raise their children and keep a closer relationship with them. Young dads no longer want to be cold.

Psychologists (心理學(xué)家) say that a strong fatherly influence is important in a child's development. Fathers teach their children skills and encourage them to try new things. They also give them a sense of safety. A child learns that if something goes wrong,he or she can depend on dad to help fix it. The psychologists also say that without a dad,a child is more possible to drop out of school and get into trouble.

A mother's love is important, and so is a father's love. Chen Mo,a psychology professor says ,“ It takes both parents to raise a child.Children have different needs at different ages and this needs to be considered by both parents.

Today,an increasing number of people are always looking at their mobile phones with their heads down. These people are called the “Heads-down Tribe (低頭族) ”Are you a heads-down tribe member? Heads-down tribe members now can be seen everywhere.

More and more traffic accidents are happening because more drivers use mobile phones when they are driving. In order to make drivers pay more attention to driving, some new traffic rules have been made. For example, people who use mobile phones while driving in Taiwan are fined (罰款) . Car drivers and motorcyclists who break the traffic rule will be fined NT $3,000 and NT $1,000 respectively (分別地) .

When he lifted his eyes from the phone,he was so afraid that he turned around and ran away quickly. Another fact is that we can often see people in the restaurant eating face to face but looking at their own mobile phones. It's strange that they don’t  talk to the ones who sit opposite to them during the meal. Some of them even have fun communicating with others on the phone.

Mobile phones are helpful and necessary tools for modern life. Are mobile phones good or bad? It depends on how people use them. Let's be “healthy” users and try to be the “Heads-up Tribe”.
