_______ ______ this guitar belong to ?
【2】Sally didn't go to school because of the heavy rain .(改為同義句)
Sally didn't go to school ________it rained ________.
【3】It must be more valuable ,________it ?(完成反意疑問句)
【4】The woman outside the door must be Mrs.King .(改為否定句)
The woman outside the door _______ ______Mrs.King.
【5】She spent three thousand yuan on the computer .(改為同義句)
The computer ________three thousand yuan .
【6】He didn't see anybody enter the building before eleven .(改為被動語態(tài))
Nobody _______ ______ ______ _______ the building before eleven .
【1】 Who does
【2】 because heavily
【3】 isn't
【4】 can't be
【5】 cost her
【6】 was seen to enter
此題要求變?yōu)榉穸ň洌渲杏?/span>must表示推測,意為“肯定,一定”,must只能用在肯定句中;否定句中應用can’t,故這里應填can’t be。
本題要求改為被動語態(tài),原句是一般過去時,主語是Nobody,be動詞用單數(shù),填was seen;原句使用了句型see sb. do sth.

How are you?" is a nice question. It's a friendly way people in the United States greet each other. But "How are you? " is also a very unusual question. It's a question that often doesn’t have an answer.
When a person meets a friend on the street and asks "How are you?" the person doesn't really expect to hear an answer such as "I really, don't know what's wrong with me. I thought I had a cold. I took some medicine, but that didn't help much, so I have a doctor’s appointment." The person who asks "How are you?" expects to hear the answer "Fine," even if the other person isn't! The reason is that "How are you?" isn't really a question and "Fine" isn't really an answer. They are simply ways of greeting people and saying "Hello."
Sometimes, people also don't say exactly what they mean. For example, when someone asks "Do you agree?", the other person might be thinking "No, I disagree. I think you're wrong." But it isn't very polite to disagree so strongly, so the other person might say, "I'm not so sure." It's a nicer way to say that you don't agree with someone.
People also don't say exactly what they are thinking when they finish conversation with other people. For example, many conversations over the phone end when one person says, "I've got to go now." Often, the person who wants to hang up gives an excuse: "Someone's at the door." "I've got to put the vegetables away." "Something is burning on the stove!" The excuse might be real, or it might not be. Perhaps the person who wants to hang up simply doesn't want to talk any more, but it isn't very polite to say that. The excuse is more polite, and it doesn't hurt the other person's feelings.
Whether they are greeting each other, talking about an opinion, or ending a conversation, people often don't say exactly what they are thinking. It's an important way that people try to be nice to each other, and it's all part of the game of language!

【3】How can we make other people feel better if we don’t agree with them on something?
A. By telling them directly what we think.
B. By saying“I’m not quite sure about that ”.
C. By asking them“How are you? ”
D. By giving more good examples.
【4】Why do people sometimes choose a roundabout way to end the telephone conversation?
A. They want other persons to feel nice. B. They are afraid of telling lies.

Many kids do housework such as doing the dishes, making the bed, and folding the clothes. In exchange, they get some money or other computer time.
Paying kids for housework is one of the most popular topics, especially at a time when everyone is more careful about money. Some parents think since adults are paid to do their jobs, we should pay kids for everyday housework.
But some people don’t think kids should get rewards(報酬) for doing housework. Susie Walton, an expert, believe that by rewarding kids, parents are sending a message that work isn’t worth doing unless you get something in return. “①Running any kind of housework is a team effort,” Walton said. “A home is a living space for everyone in the family. It’s important for kids to see that we all have responsibilities in the house, and families decide how they want their home to look, and how they are going to keep it looking like what they want.”
Other people believe that getting a reward encourages kids to do housework, ②and it also teaches them real world lessons about how we need to work to get money. There are also apps(程序) that gives kids points and digital gifts that can be redeemed(兌現(xiàn)) either online or in the real world. “Our goal is to give kids lawful power so they can get rewards,” says Chris Bergman. “And kids need rewards to help encourage them. ”
