【題目】任務(wù)型閱讀,閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容完成表格中所缺信息,每空一詞。

A report in a newspaper says that school accidents, such as food poisoning (食物中毒), fires, electricity and traffic, kill more primary and middle school students than anything else. So we must learn how to protect ourselves better. Here are some tips for keeping safety in mind every day.

On our way home or to school: Wait for the green traffic light, and look left and right before we cross the road. We’d better wear bright-color clothes, so the drivers can see us easily. Don’t believe strange people in the street.

At school: When students around us begin to push each other, we need to stand still and try to hold onto something, or stay in a corner until the crowd(人群) leaves. If we fall down in a moving crowd, use both hands to cover the head. Lean(斜靠) to one side, curl up (蜷縮) our body and bend (彎曲) the legs.

In a fire: Stay calm. Leave the classroom quickly under the directions of the teachers. Smoke can be more dangerous than fire, so use a piece of cloth to cover our mouth and nose. What will we do if the clothes burn? Remember not to run! Drop and fall to the ground. Then roll! It will make the fire go out.

For eating: Wash fruits carefully before eating them. Check the expiration dates (保質(zhì)期) on the packages of the snacks, and if it looks or smells bad, dont eat it.

【題目】The other day I came across a few local musicians and happened to hear them talking:

"I hate all the terrible pianos in this town. I hate that rubbish they play on the radio. They can't even understand a bit of music."

"I'm never playing in that club again. Too many drunks and nobody listens to us."

But one younger musician said, "There are a few clubs that book my band (樂隊) a few nights a month, and I'm trying to find other places to play. I'm also looking forward to booking a few summer festivals this year."

It's said that you are the average (平均) of the five people whom you spend the most time with, or to put it another way, you are who your friends are.

Attitudes(態(tài)度) are important. Whether they're positive(積極的)or negative (消極的), they're rubbing off on you. If you're always around people who complain about short of work and about other musicians or say bad words about others, and you play the role of a victim, it's possible that you will start to as well. So it's time to take a look at the people you call "friends", as what kind of friends you have decides what kind of life you are going to live.

This is an easy exercise: Make a list of the people who you often go out with, and simply stop spending time with the negative people on your list. Set a new standard for yourself and don't become friends with people who fall below that standard.

Keep successful people around you and your own chances for success will be much better. Ask them how they do it and learn from them. Ask if they will help you get the work you're looking for, or maybe give you some advice to help you on your career path.

Afternoon tea in England
Afternoon tea is the traditional four o'clock tea. That is a small meal, not just a drink. Traditionally it is made up of tea or coffee and either of the following: Freshly baked scones(新鮮烤餅) served with cream and jam. Afternoon tea sandwiches—thinly sliced cucumber(黃瓜) sandwiches with the crusts(面包皮) cut off.
Afternoon tea became popular in the early 1840s. At that time, English people ate only two main meals each day, so people often got hungry between the two meals. One day, to spend the time, a woman called Anna asked some of her friends for an afternoon tea at about four o'clock. Together with tea, she served her friends cakes and sandwiches. Soon after that, afternoon tea became popular.
