2.考查強(qiáng)調(diào)句型。句意:這應(yīng)該歸咎于人類的行為。根據(jù)句意及分析可知,human behavior is to blame.是完整的句子,故此處考查強(qiáng)調(diào)句型,It is+...+that...,被強(qiáng)調(diào)的部分是humans' behavior,故將which改為that。

try one’s best to do sth.“竭盡全力做某事”,用不定式做目的狀語(yǔ),故將protecting改為protect。
10.考查代詞。句意:總之嗎,保護(hù)我們周圍的環(huán)境是每個(gè)人的責(zé)任。分析句子可知,真正的主語(yǔ)是不定式短語(yǔ) to protect the environment around us,故用形式主語(yǔ)it,故將that改為it。

【題目】 Teenagers are often a difficult group. With all those hormones(荷爾蒙)flooding in their bodies, they can be moody, unpredictable, and tend to make uncertain choices. But however confusing their teenage years are, kids can still be generally happy, depending on their lifestyle choices.According to a new research by British scientists, teens who don't smoke, drink only moderately(適度地) or not at all,and who don't eat much junk food are likely to be happier than other teens.
The study looked at 40,000 British families and came up with some interesting findings. For example, kids who never drank alcohol were up to six times more likely to report higher levels of happiness than kids who drank. And teens who smoked were five times less likely to rate high on happiness charts compared to kids who didn't smoke. The same goes for diet and physical activities. The more fruits and vegetables kids eat,and the more hours they spend playing sports, the happier they are.
Now,of course this doesn't mean that not smoking or drinking, and playing sports can guarantee happiness. It could be that kids who have happy character tend to be more active and less addicted to drinking or smoking. And it could equally be the case that kids who are unhappy are more related to drinking, smoking and eating junk food.
Other studies have shown that exercise is a proven way to treat anxiety and depression. Future studies may support the idea that other healthy behaviors, including refraining(克制)from smoking, drinking, and eating too much junk food, can avoid sadness and increase happiness, too.

【題目】 There have been thousands of marine species that have become extinct. Currently there are thousands of fish that are endangered and in great need of protection. The following are some.
The Arcadian Redfish are found in warm waters, such as the Atlantic and Indian Ocean. These fish mature at a late age (5 to 6 years) and have low reproductive rates. However, they can live to be 50 years old, which is relatively remarkable. Young redfish are marked with patches of black and green color. They don’t develop their red color until after they move to the ocean bottom. Now the Arcadian Redfish is endangered due to overfishing. These fish started to decrease in population in the early 1900s because of their increased popularity in the food industry.
The Bluefin tuna is one animal that is high on the endangered species list. This fish has been named one of the wonders of the ocean, because they can grow to be 12 feet long and weigh over 1, 500 pounds! Why are these fish disappearing at alarming rates? Because they are being captured for food, with over 75% consumed in Japanese restaurants often by making a popular sushi.
The European Eel is found in the Baltic and the Mediterranean Sea. They have a unique metamorphosis process and they change their forms over a longtime period. According to IUCNRedList.org, the European Eel is one of the threatened species that are not only endangered, but critically endangered.
The whale shark is one of many endangered sharks out there. According to one source, sharks are revered as our last “l(fā)iving” dinosaurs. 【題目】 I’d like to share a little story with you about something that happened when I was four. I remember it clearly. Our loving family dog was nearing the end of his life. My father picked him up and put him in a little bed we had made for him. Our dog, my companion, whom we had cared for, bit my father when he attempted to help him. How could he? Why? I couldn’t understand it. I didn’t like him anymore.
I hadn’t thought about that story for a long time but something that happened last week brought it back to me. I went to speak with a friend. When I knocked on the door, I met in an instant an angry look and a few harsh(尖刻的)words. When the door was slammed(砰地關(guān)上)in my face, I stood there shocked, and in a rush, I was reminded of my dog bit my father 20 years ago or so. What brought that story back was that same feeling of betrayal.
Both stories taught me something the next day. You see, when I got up in the morning and was told my dog had died, it became clear to me that he must have been in great pain. For him to have bitten a family member, he could not have been himself. Much the same for the other story when I learned that my friend’s wife had just left him.
We are all beings of our environments, our opinions and feelings. And all of those things can cause you to say and do things that can’t be understood by those who are not in the same situation with you.
If you meet someone either behaving out of character or acting in a way that doesn’t seem to fit the situation, put out your hand and be patient when you think it is least possible for him to do so. You may turn around a story that has a sad ending simply by your actions.
【1】What is the influence of the incident mentioned in Paragraph 1?
A.It hurt his father’s feeling deeply.B.It has puzzled the author ever since.
C.It left a deep impression on the author.D.It made the author dislike dogs.
【2】Why did the author’s friend say harsh words to the author?
A.He was ill-tempered.
B.He was suffering the pain of losing his wife.
C.He was bothered by an unexpected visit.
D.They once quarreled and he couldn’t forgive the author.
【3】What conclusion did the author get from the two stories?
A.Misunderstanding should be removed in time.
B.Sometimes one will be hurt without any reason.
C.Many people think more of themselves and less of others.
D.Many factors will affect one's behavior.
【4】What’s the author’s advice to us?
A.Help those in need.
B.Look before you leap.
C.Respect for others is a kind of virtue.
D.Learn to put yourself in others’ shoes.
