Long time no see! I miss you very much.

I’m writing to express my thanks for your help during the seven-day summer camp. I made much progress in my English by communicating with you. What is more, while visiting some tourist attractions, you volunteered to be my guide and showed me a lot of American culture, which broadened my horizons. Not only did I learn a lot about American culture, but also I made good American friends. It was really a wonderful experience!

By the way, would you like to join the summer camp in China next year? I’d like to be your guide and you can experience some Chinese culture and customs. I am sure you would have a great time.

Last weekend we go mountain climbing. Even the heavy rain in the morning could not prevent us going. Set off very early, we went along an extreme narrow road, all in high spirits.

On every side of the road was green fields and some farm houses. We could hear the sound of the rain and our footsteps mixing with our laughter. At noon we reached the top of the mountain. That surprised us most there was the beauty of scenes. After having short rest there and sharing with the food we had brought, we started going down. It rained even harder. I was often laughed at my classmates before I turned 14 because I was always very nervous when talking to someone. Helpful and sad, I felt that I could do nothing. You cannot imagine what great difficulty I have in my life. And later, something happened, what changed my life completely. It was an English speech contest and my mother encouraged me to take part in it. I tried her best to remember the whole speech “Believe in yourself” and practised them over 100 times.
