1.join in去掉in;考查動(dòng)詞短語(yǔ),join表示從參加某一團(tuán)體并作為其中一員,join in 指參加到某些人當(dāng)中去做某事,文中army是個(gè)團(tuán)體,故去掉in,用join.
2.practiced改成 practicing;考查動(dòng)詞的時(shí)態(tài),分析句意為"一天,新兵正在聯(lián)系射擊",所以用were practicing構(gòu)成過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí).  
3.was 改成 were;考查主謂一致,此處主語(yǔ)the rest指the rest soldiers,故謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式were doing.
4.Had 改成have;考查動(dòng)詞的時(shí)態(tài),這是一個(gè)直接引語(yǔ),介紹當(dāng)時(shí)的實(shí)際情況,句意為"我從沒(méi)見(jiàn)過(guò)這么傻的人!"故用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí).
5.把a(bǔ)way 刪掉;考查動(dòng)詞的用法,waste意為"浪費(fèi)",是及物動(dòng)詞,后面可以直接跟賓語(yǔ),故去掉away.   
6.a(chǎn)改成the;考查冠詞,上文提到that wall,所以這里用定冠詞the表示特指.
7.late改成later;考查固定用法,later用于一段時(shí)間之后,表示"…之后".
8.soldier改成soldiers;考查名詞復(fù)數(shù),這里指除Frank之外的"其他戰(zhàn)士",所以要用復(fù)數(shù)形式soldiers.

10.only和find 之間加to;考查動(dòng)詞不定式,這里用不定式表示目的.
