根據(jù)last Thursday可知此處是在“last(next)+時(shí)間”結(jié)構(gòu)中,介詞多余,不用介詞。
故將me改為I。
故將what改為which。
固定搭配so …that… 故將such改為so。
固定短語as well as相當(dāng)于介詞短語in addition to,后面接動(dòng)名詞形式。
故將and改為but。
10. 考查感嘆句。句意:那是多么令人興奮的一次經(jīng)歷!感嘆句的句型:What+a/an+形容詞+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞+其它!=how+形容詞+a/an+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞+其它!根據(jù)名詞experience是以元音因素開頭,可知此處要用冠詞an修飾名詞。故在exciting后加an。

On Hoxton Street in East London there is a very special children’s writing and mentoring(輔導(dǎo)) center called the Ministry of Stories, which is fronted by its shop , Hoxton Street Monster(怪獸) Supplies, where you can expect to find monster food. The store raises funds for this very special program that fires children’s imagination.
The youth aged 8 to 18 enter the Ministry, through a secret door that is designed to open a world of opportunity by encouraging a love for writing. The organization believes that, “Writing increases self-respect, improves communication and can change lives.” That’s because writing allows children’s voices to be heard.
This year, the workshop is celebrating 10 years of helping children discover a love for writing through creative programs. Founded by Lucy Macnab, Ben Payne and best-selling author Nick Hornby, the organization works with around 1,000 children per year participating in schools, and community programs across Hackney, Islington, and Tower Hamlets. It now has over 400 volunteers and runs its program free of charge for the youth of the areas.
“Through a range of creative writing programs, and one-to-one mentoring, we aim to help young people find their own qualities that can be developed,” Macnab told The Telegraph. “We build confidence, self-respect, and communication skills in both workshops for schools and out of school writing clubs.”
One 10-year participant, Nmeso, said that the weekly after-school club he attends at the Ministry has helped him grow his imagination and improve his academic performance. In fact, he was able to move up a grade in school. From the Louvre to the Musée d’Orsay to the Centre Pompidou, you could spend a lifetime wandering the halls of the city’s great museums. Here are some of the best museums in Paris.

If you like 19th-century natural landscapes with rural lives and tastes, this is the place to take it all in.

They are probably the longest-standing and biggest rivals (對(duì)手) in international sport— Chinese badminton player Lin Dan, with his deadly smashes (扣球) and drop shots, and his Malaysian rival Lee Chong Wei, who is known for his spirit and determination.
Over the years, the two have competed with each other many times, and both have experienced victory and defeat. But Lin beat Lee the first two times they faced each other in the Olympic Games—in Beijing in 2008 and then in London in 2012.
And that was inadmissible for Lee. In fact, according to BadmintonBlaze.com, Lee once said that if he had the choice between winning an Olympic gold and beating Lin, he would absolutely choose victory over his old rival.
And he eventually did, at the 2016 Rio Games. When he beat Lin that day, Lee dropped to the floor, covered his face with his hands and looked around the stadium like a gold-medal moment although Lee eventually lost out in the final to another Chinese player, Chen Long.
All the years of trying to outdo each other have not only driven Lin and Lee to surpass (超越) themselves as players, but also developed a special friendship between the two.
They care for and encourage each other. They invited each other to their own weddings. And right before this year’s Malaysia Open, Lee, who wasn’t able to compete there on account of his nose cancer, wrote on social networking site Facebook, “My friend Lin Dan, you have my best wishes for this Malaysian Open. If I were to hope for a non-Malaysian to win the men’s singles title, I hope that it’s you my friend, my greatest rival.”
Lin and Lee are now pushing 36 and 37 respectively—ages by which most athletes would have retired—but they are planning to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, in the hope that they can play each other once again.
It’s as Badminton Association of Malaysia vice president David Wee once said of the two, “they bring out the best in each other”.
【1】Which phrase can best describe their relationship?
A.Familiar strangers.B.Friends and enemies.
C.Colleagues and rivals.D.Teammates and competitors.
【2】What does the underlined word “inadmissible” in Paragraph 3 mean?
A.Unacceptable.B.Inescapable.
C.Unexpected.D.Impossible.
【3】What did Lee’s reaction at the 2016 Rio Games indicate?
A.He mistakenly believed he had won the gold medal.
B.He was confident to defeat Lin Dan next time.
C.He didn’t care about the Olympic gold medals.
D.He took his victory over Lin most seriously.
【4】What can we learn from the passage?
A.Lin ranks second to Lee in the world badminton.
B.Lin is sure to compete against Lee at the 2020 Olympics.
C.Lee has no intention to quit playing badminton in spite of his nose cancer.
D.Lee wished Lin to win the men’s singles title in this year’s Malaysia Open.

When we use the term “disability,” many people think about those obvious disabilities like blindness. However, disabilities also include a number of other conditions that typically are invisible (無形) to others such as hearing problems and sleep disorders. 【1】 For example, someone with sclerosis (硬化癥) looks “normal” but has to use a parking space for people with disabilities.
No one really knows for sure whether someone has an invisible disability unless it is disclosed (公開). The decision about whether to disclose an invisible disability can weigh heavily on an individual, making social and work situations especially challenging. The burden of hiding a disability creates stress in social and work situations that might affect health and well-being badly.
【2】 It also increases the possibility that the person will find and develop a social support network with others who might have similar conditions or experiences.
Despite the benefits of disclosing, research reports that individuals with invisible disabilities often do not disclose their conditions. 【3】 Reasons might be as follows. First, even if protected by law from discrimination, they still face potential prejudice from others. Second, when someone who “l(fā)ooks normal” says he has a disability and requests special services, people might question whether the disability really exists. 【4】 Sometimes, people might experience the symptoms without realizing.
【5】 They must carefully weigh the potential benefits of not disclosing against the cost to health and well-being. We should be aware of the unique challenges facing people with invisible disabilities and put ourselves in their shoes.
A.Invisible disabilities are more difficult to cure.
B.These conditions can make everyday activities difficult.
C.Individuals with invisible disabilities should make wise decisions.
D.On the contrary, disclosure relieves the stress of hiding the condition.
E.They might assume the person is only trying to gain special privileges.

Little snow had fallen this winter. For Reuven the frier(皮衣制作工) it was a bad year, and after long hesitation he decided to sell Zlateh the old goat. The town butcher had offered eight silver coins for the goat. Reuven told his oldest boy, Aaron, to take the goat to town. Aaron understood what it meant, but he had to obey his father. His sisters cried loudly.
Aaron took along two slices of bread to eat on the road. He needed to deliver the goat by evening and return the next day with the money. While the family said goodbye, Zlatch stood as patiently as ever. Zlateh trusted human beings.
The sun was shining when Aaron left. Suddenly the weather changed, and after a while it began to snow. Soon their path was completely covered and Aaron got lost. Beneath the snow Aaron’s boots touched the softness of a plowed field. He realized that he was no longer on the road. Zlateh bleated (哀鳴) as if asking to be taken home. Aaron looked around hoping to find a farmer driving a sleigh(雪橇) along the way. But he could see nothing.
Aaron knew that if they did not find shelter, they would freeze to death. Suddenly he made out the shape of a hill. When he came near it, he realized that it was a large haystack (大干草堆) covered by snow. Aaron knew that they were saved. When he reached the hay, he dug a nest for himself and the goat. It was always warm in the hay. And hay was food for Zlateh.
Zlateh, sat down and seemed to have regained her confidence in man. Aaron ate his bread, but after the difficult journey he was still hungry. He looked at Zlateh and realized that he would not be starved to death. Goat’s milk was sweet. Zlateh ate frequently and her body gave forth an animal warmth, and Aaron hugged her tightly. The snow fell for 3 days and the wind
