I took a trip to China a few months before. If was a wonderful experience which I couldn’t really describe it. We spent three weeks visit Beijing, Shanghai and several other tourist attraction. The close we approached the centre of China, the more I liked it. Then we went to Hong Kong last week, where I think is different from Beijing. It is noisiest and busiest place I have ever seen. And another thing that give me a deep impression was the people—they were so friendly. Anyway, the trip itself was interested. I can’t wait to leave to China again.
visit應(yīng)該改成visiting;leave to China中的to改成for
句中a wonderful experience是先行詞餓it,指物,在后面的定語(yǔ)從句中做賓語(yǔ),所以定語(yǔ)從句中it是多余的,故把it去掉。
spend---(in)doing sth.
The +比較級(jí),the +比較級(jí),越---就越好---,故把close改成closer。
leave for去某地,故把to改成for。

In 1841, a book was published which astonished the world. It was called “Incidents of Travel in Central America, Chiapas and Yucatan”. The author John Loud Stephens had just returned from a long, difficult and dangerous journey through the thick rain forest of southern Mexico and Guatemala. He had once been there with Frederick Catherwood, an architect and artist, to search for the remains of a lost civilization known as the Mayas(瑪雅). Very little was known about the Mayas at that time, but Catherwood's drawing in the book showed incredible cities with temples, pyramids and other buildings as impressive as those of their northern neighbors, the Aztecs. These cities, however, were deserted. The inhabitants(居民) had disappeared almost a thousand years before.
Since that time, far more has been learned about this remarkable civilization. The Mayas had a highly-developed system of government and of agriculture, as well as an incredibly accurate system of measuring time. They were also wonderful engineers capable of moving huge blocks stone long distances and cutting them to accurate shapes and sizes.
And yet although the Mayas knew about the wheel, they never used it. Neither did they use metals other than copper. What is ever more surprising is that they suddenly abandoned many of their cities and built new ones in the jungle. Some time around AD 900, Mayan civilization collapsed(崩潰). By the year 1200, their last great capital, Chichen Itza, was deserted.
Who were these strange people and the even stranger gods they worshipped? What brought about their sudden and mysterious collapse? Some writers have tried to prove that the Mayas had contact with visitors from space and even that they themselves came from another planet. Some people believe that their civilization came to an end because the Mayas never developed a proper resistance to local germs and diseases. All we really know is that when the first Europeans appeared off their coast in 1517, this great and mysterious culture was only a memory.
(1)Stephen's book astonished the world because .
A.it was the first time people heard about Mayas
B.the Mayas were excellent builders and farmers
C.he had experienced so may difficulties to find this lost civilization
D.it described that the Mayas used to be an advanced civilization
(2)One of the most surprising findings about Mayas was that .
A.they developed accurate system measuring time
B.they knew how to build pyramids with stones
C.they deserted their cities and moved to new ones
D.they built cities which they never lived in
(3)At last Mayas disappeared from the world most probably in .
A.a thousand years before 1841
B.around AD 900
C.any year between 1200 and 1517
D.1200
(4)What brought about Mayan sudden collapse?
A.Tropical germs and diseases.
B.European conquest.
C.Mysterious force from outer space.
D.No one knows for sure.

Honesty play an important role in our daily life. It is not only the best policies, but a principle of dealing with affairs. Take the friendship for example. If you are honest man, your friends will be honest to you on return. When you are sad, he will comfort you; when you were in trouble, they will help you. However, if you are a dishonest man, and your friends will leave you alone sooner or late. What’s worse, you will be looked down upon by them and regard as a public enemy. In short, honesty is very important in our daily life. Honesty is absolute essential for a good and happy life.

Actually, long-distance bicycle camping is one of the most pleasurable activities I have ever experienced.
I generally sleep poorly at night, but in the woods on a tour, I sleep like a baby, falling asleep with the music of insects. In the morning, I am awakened by the cheeps of birds. I eat a snack before getting up, and then I quickly pack my sleeping bag, air mattress (墊), tent, and other things and get on with my road. I'm slower in the morning, having less speed but a greater desire to stop at pleasant spots and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Traveling by bike allows me to stop anywhere, such as grasslands, lakes, woods, and scenic spots. Near lunch, I find a small grocery and buy some bread, sandwiches and fruit. Then I will find a town park or other shady spots to wait out the high mid-day sun. In the afternoon, my speeds are higher, and I spend less time on stops. In the late afternoon, I start riding more slowly, and I start thinking about where I will stop. I finally find a place in the early evening, cook a simple meal and have a rest. As it starts to get dark, I put up my tent, crawl in and fall asleep.
There are exciting times and difficult times as well. Visiting strange or famous places and accomplishing goals are always exciting to me. I meet and talk with interesting people along the way, sometimes other traveling cyclists. Appreciating beautiful views, meeting wild animals, and traveling up and down hills also. On the other hand, I may run into a rainy or hot spell(一段時(shí)間), have to repair my bike, or just find myself in a bad mood. The problems are infrequent and are easy to deal with. The pleasures remain in my mind for years.

My friend Jennie Crossen gave her bone marrow (骨髓) to a 51-year-old woman with leukemia, a woman she has never met.
At the end of March, the Red Cross called back. Six different blood elements were tested; Jennie matched five completely and was about a 3/4 match of the sixth. So she was the best match.
In April, Jennie went for a complete physical exam by one of the doctors who would perform the surgery. The doctor had to make sure that it would be no threat to her. A big bowl of milk can be a great way to start the day. Many snack bars contain nutrients that help our bodies stay strong and healthy. But some of these foods are packed with too many vitamins and minerals. According to a new study by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), this extra fortification may be more harmful than helpful.
Of the tested snack bars, 27 have more than 50% of the recommended amounts of vitamin A, niacin and zinc. Nutrition facts listed on packages are based on recommended daily values for adults, who are physically larger and require more vitamins and minerals. So when kids eat these cereals (麥片) and snack bars, they are getting more nutrients than they need.
Vitamin A, niacin (煙酸) and zinc (鋅) are best in fresh and unprocessed foods that are in their natural state. Vitamin A helps you see at night. It occurs naturally in eggs, meat and carrots. Niacin is a vitamin that helps our bodies make energy. It is found in foods like fish, seeds, and peanuts, as well as in whole grains like wheat and brown rice. Zinc helps our bodies fight off infection. It is found in many foods, including wheat-based products, meats, beans and nuts.
Children typically eat more than one serving of cereal or snack bars a day, in addition to taking vitamin supplements. Eating large amounts of these nutrients can be dangerous to kids’ health. Too much vitamin A can cause liver
