It is necessary to be reasonable and flexible enough to avoid conflicts as much as possible and live in peace with others. 【1】 If you have done all your best to avoid conflicts and you are still arguing, then read these effective tips on how to avoid conflicts.

● Be kind.
【3】 Life is full of conflicts and disagreements, that’s why you should find more conservative ways of dealing with them. For example, kindness can lessen the conflict.
● Try to be a peacekeeper.
Peacekeepers tend to cooperate with people without bad emotions which usually lead to arguments and even conflicts. “【4】” This saying is the life motto of a natural-born peacekeeper. Don’t worry if you are not a natural-born peacekeeper; you can gain this skill during life.
● Walk off.
When the conflict is gathering pace and you can’t manage to control yourself, you should choose to handle the situation in another way. By all means, try to keep yourself away from stress. 【5】 You should get away from the situation for a while.

Fitting in fitness
Do you find excuses not to exercise? 【1】 Here are a few ways to get you going.
Do what you love.
The easiest way to fall into the habit of doing exercise is to choose an activity you enjoy — one that doesn't feel like exercise, even though it is. 【2】 If you play to your strengths, you’ll find fitness activities you can enjoy for years.
Choose your hour.
Studies have shown that people who work out in the morning are most likely to stick with a routine. By doing exercise before the day starts, they can avoid the last-minute scheduling conflicts. But if you’ re not a morning person, choose whatever time works best for you. 【3】
Call it by another name.
【4】 If it's something you have to do anyway — like washing the car or planting some bushes in the yard — you’ll achieve two goals at once.
Partner up.
Exercise is more fun when you do it with others. 【5】 On days when your motivation is low, you’ re more likely to stick with the programme to avoid disappointing your exercise partners. You can also train with an expert. A personal trainer will help you set goals, design a personalized fitness programme, and vary your routine to keep it challenging.
A. Ask yourself: what am I good at?
B. Make fitness part of your social routine.
C. For example, you can join a running, walking, hiking, biking or tennis club.
D. If you’re in top form from noon to 1 pm, aim for a lunchtime workout.
E. Would you rather do anything else — even sort your socks or clean the fridge?
F. If a damp T-shirt is not your idea of a good time, try gentler forms of exercise.

【題目】This year, Facebook, the social media website, announced that it would cooperate with several news organizations —including The New York Times, The Guardian, and the BBC —to place news stories directly into users’ personal Facebook webpage. Stories published using Facebook Instant will load more quickly and keep the style of the original publisher, who will keep all the advertising income the stories earn —at least for now. The deal shows how important social media has become to news organizations, and it is a clear sign of how the world of news is changing —and has been for a while.
Many thought of it as the death of the newspaper, when Google News began in 2002. It had no human editor. Instead, Google used, and still uses, a secret computer program that selects and displays news stories according to the reader’s personal interests. More recently, Associated Press and Yahoo have been punishing computer-written articles. Both use special software to automatically produce stories about company financial results and sports reports —areas where the quality of writing is felt to be of secondary importance to the accuracy of the data.
I think we should be concerned about such developments. One concern is that Facebook, Google and other social media websites see journalism as a sideline(副業(yè)), a way of putting people in front of advertisements. It isn’t their primary function —so if it stops making them lots of money, they're likely to stop doing it.
There’s another concern that computer-written articles are not actually journalism at all, because what a human news team produces is actually quite complex. A well-written news story puts information in context, offers a voice to each side of an argument and brings the public new knowledge.
Though economics and speed of delivery mean readers will probably choose a computer-written story over a carefully shaped article — at least for daily news —I don’t think the computers will be writing any in-depth articles for a while yet.
【1】What is the main purpose of the article?
A. To report on a new computer service offered by Facebook.
B. To advise readers against reading computer-written news.
C. To express concern about recent trends in online news.
D. To describe the process of online news reporting.
【2】Computer-written news reports have so far focused on sports and finance because ________.
A. these are the most popular topics for online readers
B. writing style is less important than accuracy in these areas
C. information on these topics is more easily available
D. there are fewer journalists specializing in these areas
【3】What does the underlined word “It” in Paragraph 3 refer to?
A. Journalism.B. Advertising.C. Facebook.D. Business.
【4】In Paragraph 4, which of the following is mentioned as a characteristic of a well-written news article?
A. The information presented is up-to-date.
B. The author's opinion is clear
C. The language used is vivid.
D. Different views on the topic are presented.
