【題目】A first-grade student whose best friend is suffering from cancer decided that hours of playing and telling jokes was not enough—he wanted to show his buddy just how he understood the tough time he was going through.

Five-year-old Vincent Butterfield decided the only way was to shave his head in support of his best friend Zac Gossage who lost his hair through chemotherapy(化療).

Zac was diagnosed(診斷) last June with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (急性淋巴細胞白血病). He is being treated but still goes to Union Central Elementary in Missouri every day—because that's where he gets to play with Vincent.

When the little boy was asked why he shaved his hair off, he told KSDK: "To make Zac feel like he's not the only one without any hair."

Vincent has also been learning about cancer and raising money for his best friend after learning how expensive his chemotherapy treatments are.

He made more than 20 scarves and sold them, raising more than $200 to give to Zac.

The little boy's mom Karen Butterfield told KSDK," We had been making these scarves and he just kind of said it would be cool if we could make a whole bunch of these and sell them."

When asked what friendship was, Vincent looked at his friend Zac and responded: "It's a beautiful thing."

The other day, some of my classmates and I took a bicycle trip along the "Huan Shan Green Road", that was specially built for people to relax ourselves. The scenery along the road was fascinating, with trees, flowers, hills and lakes on both side. We stopped by a lake for a rest, where a great many of people are playing happily. But something unpleasant caught our eyes. There was rubbish here or there, and there were many plastic bags and bottles floated on the surface of the lake. Such beautiful place was so serious polluted. What a shame! In the end, we couldn't help collecting the rubbish after we left.

She arranged for a flight on a small plane to be held for me, re-routed (改道) me through Newark and got me back to the UK even earlier than originally scheduled.

I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I’ll unable to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can’t accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day’s hard works. Besides, it is important for us to know what had happened at home and at abroad. Thus, we shouldn’t be forbidden to watch TV.
